SCOTTSDALE, AZ. - Nearly one year ago, Scottsdale Police Detectives started working an eerie murder mystery.
Beautiful, vibrant and young Scottsdale saleswoman Allison Feldman was found dead in her home.
"It's one of those things that happens to other families, it doesn't happen to yours," said Harley Feldman, Allison's father.
Feldman and his family are back in Phoenix to mark the anniversary of their daughter's death. He told ABC15 that it still feels so surreal.
"There's probably 10 times a day that I still think I should call Allison, text her to tell her something," he said.
But then reality hits -- Allison will never be on the other side of the phone. In fact, that's how the family knew something was wrong in February 2015.
Allison wasn't answering her phone and then the family learned her phone had been turned off, which was odd since she worked sales and was always reachable.
"Things were out of normal. It was very troubling and my wife said, 'It's just not right,’" Feldman said.
Scottsdale police later found the 31-year-old dead in her home from head trauma. Court papers reveal her body was nude, and first responders reported smelling bleach around her body.
Police said there was no sign of forced entry at her home, and the killer has not been arrested.
"I’d like to face him and let him know that I'm the dad and it hurts. It’s hurt the family," Harley said.
Harley told ABC15 that Scottsdale police are still actively working the case and have hard DNA evidence, but they haven't found the person to match it.
The family and police will meet for a memorial to remember Allison on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in front of Scottsdale's Justice Center. There, they will plea for the public's help in finding that piece of information that will lead them to the killer.
"There's nothing we want more than to have this guy captured. We have a hard time understanding why this happened and we may never know. But he's free and our daughter is not alive," Harley said.
Thoughts? The reason I'm placing Allison's case in the Unsolved on TV section is it was profiled on the March 28th, 2016 episode of "Crime Watch Daily."
