I wouldn't be surprised to see a new addition announced for the anniversary. Its pretty likely since it’s Chris Wray’s first Top Ten anniversary as the FBI director.

Okay today is the anniversary of the Top Ten List and what they’ve decided to do today is they are going live on Facebook and will take questions (unfortunately the comments part isn’t going well), get an inside look at the publicity panel behind these additions and the history of the top ten list.

Really cool, comments from the peanut of gallery of trolls and nut jobs are par for the course so whatever lol. I'm assuming the questions will be screened at least.

I left a question and still have a few others I’m going to post. The comments are going to be screened so that way they’ll pick their questions.

Yes mostly them, MAGA supporters and/or people who want Clinton and Obama on the list and people who are calling for 45 to be added to the list along with various Russians lol.

Okay so the live video was only 16-18 minutes long and they pretty much talked about how the list started, the focuses of the list from each decade with today’s focus being, violent individuals, shootings in public places, dangerous gang members, Cartel members, and Crimes Against Children, which is very telling.
No questions were answered while they were live, so thankfully it wasn’t really a $h** show.

Sorry in advance that I have been posting a lot on this thread fellas.
Basically breaking down what was done today on the 68th anniversary, the FBI publicized all of the remaining 9 still at large and I hope that it leads to another capture pretty soon. Also I must add that the FBI Top Ten Collage said February 2018 at the bottom, so I’m curious if they are planning an addition this month or early next month in an effort to not reveal their announcement, or if they prepared for this day since the final days of February.
To wrap up, as I’ve stated before, I think Barrett Busschau is the odds on favorite that will replace Jesus Munguia. I only consider him a serious candidate only because of what the FBI media panel has done lately in his case, like issuing 2 press releases and a $10,000 reward in less than a year of him being added to the overall site, plus they seem to be very focused on Portland, Oregon and South Africa, but there are more locations like California and Panama that are possibilities. I don’t see the FBI adding Lamont Stephenson at the moment (not that I don’t want him to be added, I actually really do) because the FBI already has 3 fugitives that are still less than 3 years old (Mederos’ warrant was issued in 2016) as of March 2018.

I've stated before I actually do get a top ten vibe in regards to Busschau.

I'm going to go on a hunch and say that the next vacancy will be filled by Juan Laureano-Arvizu (wanted for his role in nine murders - FBI reward of $50K), Joe Constance (he is already a convicted felon and posed a great risk of death/serious injury to two other people at the scene), or Bruce Sawhill (he had sexually assaulted another child prior to the victim he is wanted for assaulting).
I think a person the FBI has waiting in the wings when the cold case slot opens is Kevin Carter (the reward is now $50K - which indicates they REALLY would like him off the streets). Those are the four I can think of. Any other suggestions? Thoughts on the above listed?

I think Juan Laureano-Arvizu has a decent shot, Kevin Carter is one of my candidates for the Top Ten List, Bruce Sawhill I think has an outside chance of making the list. The FBI lately has issued 2 press releases (July 2017 & January 2018) on child rapist & South Africa national Barrett Busschau wanted out of Oregon since 1993. He is a completely unknown case which landed on the site just last May and that’s the guy I currently have all my money betted on. Since Jesus Munguia is the guy they caught I think they could add him to narrow down the search as they feel that someone in the Metro Portland area or South Africa know something. Other cold case fugitives that would be good, are Catholic Priest and Child Molestor Gerardo Beltran, who molested children in the early 1990s and ended up being arrested and later released in 2008. Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga is wanted for murdering his wife in front of his kid in 1984 and was arrested in 2004 in his native country of the Philippines, then subsequently he was released in 2006. Gustavo Ubaldo Soria is wanted for murdering his estranged wife and another man in 2004 and investigators somehow have a photo of him from 2012. Those individuals I feel it’s just a matter of narrowing down the search.

What the FBI may be doing with South Africa is nudging them to do something. It's possible that he is put on the list, but I think they would only do so to really direct South Africa to extradite him (just like with Brenda Delgado and Mexico). The U.S. does have an extradition treaty with South Africa (first drafted in 1999), and Busschau is extraditable under it. I think though the FBI more or less is looking for a fugitive where they haven't had a lot of tips as of late. However it's possible they post someone who isn't even on the site (Walter Gomez, Robert Van Wisse, and Brad Bishop to name a few).

However it's possible they post someone who isn't even on the site (Walter Gomez, Robert Van Wisse, and Brad Bishop to name a few). With regards to Busschau, I think that they probably have a general sense as to where he could be, and as you’ve said they just need to add him to be brought in... but I tend to think that Busschau is in South Africa hiding in plain sight, with a completely different appearance from his age progressed image. Also there is the possibility that Busschau may be in Panama, or still in the United States, but all and all he’s catchable. With Bishop occupying one slot, the second cold case slot has to be slightly more recent or must have some recent leads. Now you mentioned Kevin Carter earlier, that is a guy I honestly would have never considered a Top Ten candidate in 2012/2013 because the list was dominated by difficult fugitives and because social media wasn’t too advanced then as it is now. At the moment, a possible Carter addition would make sense due to the list having cleaned up in recent years and with social media being more advanced compared to 2008 or 2012/3. At this point it’s safe to say that nobody is safe now, and it’s completely up in the air who will get chosen. Plus they need to be in countries with extradition laws. If Busschau doesn’t make the list, or even if they don’t consider Gerardo Beltran, the solid candidates I think could make the list are murder fugitives, Kevin Carter, Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga, or Gustavo Ubaldo Soria.

A bit busy this week/weekend but I'll try to finally make a yearly top 5 contenders list (in my opinion) later in the week.

(press release, $50k reward, could use additional tips as not as well known as other cases etc..)
