(Above photo credit: amw.com archives) Fugitive Profile as of August 23rd, 2015: (based on 2011 AMW archive, news articles, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation website) Full Name: Benny Joe McCoy Age: Early-Mid 60's Height: 6'4 Weight: 260 lbs Hair: -Black or possibly gray -Gray/partially Gray Eyes: Hazel Who to call if you've seen him: Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation 1-800-522-8017 Police Searching For Oklahoma Man
Court records show that on November 26, 2002, Hughes County Deputies uncovered manufacturing equipment, methamphetamines, marijuana, and stolen property at the home of Benny McCoy while executing a search warrant. MCCoy was arrested, and bond was set at $150,000. He appeared in court on December 4, 2002, and Entered a plea of not guilty. The judge then set his next court date for February 23, 2003. When McCoy failed to show, the bond was revoked, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Thoughts? Not a lot of info on possible whereabouts, this case was only a web-exclusive on AMW, so maybe that's why. web.archive.org/web/20111104062957/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=78800#casewww.ok.gov/osbi/Investigative/Wanted_Persons/ Admin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

As of 1/20/2018, Hughes County case against McCoy is listed under Oklahoma's online court records as having no movement since 2012 "Case re-sent to collections" which I'm assuming just means he's still not in custody and it was just a legal filing. He's also still listed on the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation website as a wanted person as of this posting date as welk. www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=hughes&number=CF-2002-00204&cmid=332591

I dated his son a few years ago. The one who did the actual time when this guy disappeared. His son is a bad if not worse...I mean he was RAISED BY HIS FATHER. I met Ben (enny, they called him) way back in 1999 I think. '98 maybe. While I was dating his son I also got to meet Ben's mom. Spent a little time around her before she passed. I think everyone thought Ben would show for her funeral somehow or another. His son told me once after they bonded out of jail his dad took him out in the country in an old truck, put it in park, and told him to get in the driver's seat... then he grabbed his stuff and walked into the woods. Says he never saw him again, but Of course his son went to prison right after that. His son was out for a couple years and now he's back in prison. Was actually just denied parole. Don't know how he was granted a parole hearing with violent offenses. Anyway. This post about Ben is what popped this website up on Google for me so I thought I'd contribute A LITTLE of what I know.

Hi absolut3rnp,
Thanks for joining and filling us in. I do have to wonder if perhaps Benny is dead if his son claims to have never seen him and it's been 20 years now.

I was surprised to see someone comment on this one recently. As a child I was brought about Benny quite a bit until their arrest. I remember they used to grow watermelons on the land. Around 10 years ago I thought I had saw him in the area, but couldn’t be sure since it had been so long since the last time I was around. I always wondered what happened to his little boy, for some realize I was thinking the little boys lol had passed away a few years after everything went down.
