Artemio Mejia Calderon is wanted for the homicide of 23-year old Alejandro Luviano. According to a document in Dallas County's Odyssey court records database, Artemio was at a parking lot, visibly upset and trying to provoke a fight with anyone. Alejandro who was drinking a beer got up from where he was sitting and told Artemio to cool it. This led to a fight between the two men and Artemio allegedly stabbing Alejandro to death.
Artemio was identified as the alleged killer but is still sought by authorities.

Thoughts? As of today, February 17, 2024, Artemio's murder case in Dallas County's Odyssey court records database is shown as in "open" status. The only filing since 1990 was a 2005 entry saying that the court case would be transferred to a different court. That meant should Artemio hopefully be arrested someday, the case would be heard in a different court building. I knew that from Dallas County's old court records database but I needed the new Odyssey database to tell me that the case was otherwise still open.
I also had the photo of Artemio when I temporarily had an account to view the Dallas Morning News archives. The photo I had at the time was of poor quality. The good is that the Remini app retouched the photo, significantly improving the image quality.
I hope that there can be justice and accountability in Alejandro's case.
