Devonte Lavonne Childs is wanted for the homicide of 22-year old Yemi Mabiaku. Devonte and an accomplice met up with Yemi and another man in a busy shopping center parking lot. They were there to do a drug deal but it went awry. Devonte and his accomplice then allegedly shot both men, killing Yemi. The accomplice would be arrested.
The US Marshals in Cleveland now believe that Devonte is hiding out in their area. The media in Cleveland is now publicizing the manhunt for the US Marshals.

Thoughts? As of today, January 16, 2024, Devonte is still a fugitive based on news articles from Cleveland. A casualty count of one dead and one wounded is horrific enough but the shooting also occurred in a busy shopping center parking lot. There would have been numerous shoppers that were endangered by potential stray bullets.
I hope that Yemi's family will get the justice and accountability they deserve.
