HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for a suspect after three people were killed and one was hurt in three shootings in Houston’s Southside Wednesday night that took place within a span of 45 minutes.
The first shooting was reported at about 8:15 p.m. in the 14200 block of Bridgeport Road near Danfield Drive. HPD Assistant Chief Troy Finner said a suspect, believed to be 35-year-old Joshua Kelsey, met with two African American men at that location. After an altercation, the suspect shot both men, Finner said.
The victims were rushed to the hospital where one was pronounced dead and the other was taken into surgery, Finner said.
Then, police say Kelsey stole the victims’ car and drove to a home in the 5230 block of Kelling Street about three miles away. At about 8:36 p.m., police said Kelsey forced himself into the home and shot a white man in his 60s. The victim was rushed to the hospital where Finner said he was pronounced dead.
The third shooting took place just after 9 p.m. at a home in the 13500 block of Hooper Road near Almeda Genoa Road. Finner said the suspect walked into the home and shot a Hispanic man in his late 40s. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he too was pronounced dead.
Officials believe Kelsey knew all the victims and the shooting spree was drug-related.
Kelsey is described as a white man in his 40s with a mustache and a mohawk. Police say he is believed to be driving a 2012 silver Kia Forte with Texas license plates BBY-8378.
“Kelsey stole the vehicle at the first of the three related murder scenes earlier tonight,” police wrote on Twitter at 1 a.m. Thursday.
If you have information about Kelsey’s whereabouts, you’re asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or provide an anonymous tip to Houston Crimestoppers at 713-222-TIPS for a reward of up to $5,000.

Thoughts? This is a breaking news case so we know based on that Kelsey is still at large at least as of this posting date (May 7th, 2020).
Also I am placing the manhunt for Kelsey in the fugitives on tv section because this case has made the NBC national news website: www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/gunman-kills-3-wounds-another-string-shootings-houston-n1201811
