Update: GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) The U.S. Marshals say they are offering a reward in accompaniment with Greenville County Crime Stoppers for any information that can help them arrest a man accused of murdering another in a Greenville park back in February. Ryan Kedar is wanted in connection to the death of Mark Jermon in Greenville County's Herdklotz Park on February 26, 2020. A search for Kedar led investigators to find his abandoned SUV off South Buckhorn Road near Paris Mountain State Park. More than 100 law enforcement officials participated in an extensive search for the wanted man. Though, they were unable to find him. Officials believe Kedar conducted research into locations around Brevard and Asheville in North Carolina. U.S. Marshals also say he researched the purchase of a vehicle used in the Greenville area - possibly looking for a private seller to avoid having to register a vehicle. The 49-year-old reportedly served in the Israeli army. "While he should be considered extremely intelligent, investigators say he may display socially awkward behavior," U.S. Marshals said in a press release. Police say Kedar enjoys camping and hiking, and has been known to have visited numerous state and national parks. He could be staying in hostels or motels for brief periods of time in the mountains of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky or Virginia. Officials warn that he could have changed his appearance. Kedar is to be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who lives in any of those areas is asked to be on the lookout. The U.S. Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward in addition to the $2,000 reward being offered by the Greenville County Crime Stoppers for any information that can help officials find the wanted man. Anyone with information on Kedar's whereabouts is urged to call 1 (877) WANTED-2 or Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME. Tips can also be submitted online. www.foxcarolina.com/investigations/authorities-continue-search-for-armed-dangerous-man-accused-of-killing-another-in-greenville-co-park/article_3d6e8a62-9a04-11ea-9488-6f42afe3509f.html

Also here is the link to the Marshals tip page: www.usmarshals.gov/tips/index.htmlAs someone who is partially of Jewish descent, I can tell you being in the Israeli Army is no joke and heightens the concern for me if Kedar is still alive and out there and there's a confrontation. Part of me had wondered if Kedar killed himself and that's why he hasn't been found, but seeing now he has the capability to be a survivalist, while suicide is still possible, it would explain how he's still on the run if he's still out there.

I used to view these things as the coward's way out but more and more,I've come to view as an admission of guilt and it spares the family from having to go through a trial etc. They can start the healing(there will never be 100% closure) right away.

Well I should say we sometimes don't understand suicide as a whole so I should clarify I'm only referring to cases like this. When "regular" people who aren't criminals kill themselves, I hate it when people say it's a "permanent solution to a temporary probem", they don't know what it's like to have been them and how hard it is to overcome mental health issues. They aren't cowards for taking their lives, just people who suffered from the mental illness and/or depression. However, when a cold blooded killer takes their life, I view that as them just not wanting to face the consequences of their actions as opposed to admission of guilt but we can agree to disagree as the main point- there's never "closure" but a sense of relief- I agree with. Plus with all the Covid-19 going on, Mark Jermon's family might have been waiting a long time if Kedar was arrested alive and they had to wait for a trial.
