Profile statistics as of July 26th, 2014 (based on 2007 amw archived profile, AMW transcripts/airings): Sex: Male Race: White Age Now: 52-54 Height: 5'10" Weight: 185 lbs. Hair (Color, Description, Facial Hair): Brown Eyes (Color and Correction): Brown Who to call if you've seen him: US Marshals Service 1-877-WANTED-2Three times in 2006, AMW aired the case of wanted polygamist Orson Black. Black even became John Walsh's #9th Most Wanted Fugitive of 2006. According to AMW's alleged accounts, Black once belonged to Warren Jeffs's polygamist sect, but soon broke off and starting his own sect. Girls as young as 12 were allegedly raped by Black, as well as beaten and artifically inseminated. Investigators believe that Black was tipped off by Colorado City, Arizona authorities before he fled with his followers to Chihuahua, Mexico. The most recent article I could find was a 2008 piece from the Dallas Morning News. Apparently, Black was kicked out of a polygamist community in Chihuahua, Mexico and is now hiding out somewhere in the mountainous region of the Mexican state. I wish AMW would have actually given this case some decent attention. All of Black's airings were pretty short and were mainly a mention because of Warren Jeffs's case. seattletimes.com/html/nationworld/2002996905_secttwo16.htmlwww.rickross.com/reference/polygamy/polygamy107.htmlwww.rickross.com/reference/polygamy/polygamy905.htmlAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I wish they would have given him an expanded profile after he was captured instead of eventually removing him from the site. Especially given the fact that there are reports out Warren Jeffs is still in control of his Colorado City, Az compound even from jail. The horrors of the polygamist cult unfortunately seem to still be alive and well.

I have no new information to post but I wanted to address the comments some have made that Orson Black isn't considered to be "dangerous". What made Warren Jeffs appear to be more of a threat than Orson Black in the eyes of the FBI exactly? Black probably hasn't stopped sexually abusing and beating pre-teen and teenage girls, and his compound was last known to be in a State in Mexico that is plagued by drug-cartel violence.

Has anyone besides former poster kingroman said he's not dangerous? I probably would have just deleted his comment had I come across it again a second time as I did with many others so the board didn't look as dumbed down, but there were too many to keep track of.

Kingroman was the only one who mentioned that, but there's probably some who agree with him, perhaps even AMW. Sorry, I could have worded that better. Part of me also wonders is once the criminal leader gets captured, the interest in finding the lesser-up associates or accomplices goes down. Eduardo "Limpy" Rodriguez would be a good example. This may also apply to Warren Jeffs and Orson Black.

After 14 years on the run, Orson Black was finally apprehended in Chihuahua, Mexico over the weekend! This all started when the US Consulate was investigating the September 10 murders of three young men, ages were 15, 19 and 23, all having the last name Black. At Orson's property, they found the remains of more than 50 animals, either butchered or frozen, along with several motorcycles and vans. news.sky.com/story/cult-leader-orson-william-black-jr-arrested-after-triple-murder-11116190Even though Orson has not been charged with the three murders, it's sad to see this manhunt ended with the violent discovery. At least it's finally over and hopefully Orson will be back in Arizona custody shortly.

While I'm relieved Black has been captured, I'm sad that this manhunt has ended pretty much in similar fashion to the way the John Addis manhunt ended.
At least in this case, Black is still alive to face justice.

It does make you wonder if AMW aired him after 2006, if he could have become a direct capture and these deaths could have been prevented.

I’m glad he’s been captured, but that’s such a disturbing discovery.

I glad this creep this off the streets, I hoped they give him a life in prison sentence without a chance of parole, He a monster in my opinion.

I wondered when, or rather, if, any more of my old-time Dirty Dozen would ever get captured again. I will need to look through my old records to choose a replacement. He was one of the most underrated cases on AMW. It's still a mystery to me why they didn't go after suspects like Orson William Black, Jose Ramon "Angel" Reyes-Sanchez, or Fernando Palomino more proactively. Instead, we got decades-old cold cases, an unknown case that generated absolutely ZERO tips just because it happened in the same part of Florida that John Walsh has ties to, and a possible-but-not-confirmed murder all the way in East Asia whose authorities probably don't want to collaborate with American detectives! I don't know whether or not Orson had any role in those 3 men's murders, but better judgment about which cases to focus on and which direction to take AMW in could've averted some of this brutality.

Your replacement doesn't have to be someone on AMW But I would agree there were some unfortunate choices from pretty much 2009 until 2012. (The choices got better in their short-lived season on Lifetime- imo).
