(Above photo credits: fox13now.com) US Marshals Wanted Poster for Blane Barksdale: www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/barksdale/barksdale15.pdfUS Marshals Wanted Poster for Susan Barksdale: www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/barksdale/barksdale-s.pdfFrom Fox 13 Salt Lake City (fox13now.com): BLANDING, Utah — Authorities are looking for a man and woman who escaped from the custody of security guards Monday evening as they were on their way to Arizona. Blane Barksdale, 56, and Susan Barksdale, 59, are wanted in connection with the April 2019 murder of a 72-year-old Frank Bligh in Phoenix. They were arrested in New York State and were being transported back to Arizona when they overpowered two security guards near Blanding. They are believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. The Barksdales were last seen driving a red GMC Sierra pickup truck with Arizona license plate 127XTY. The truck has damage on its front passenger side and rear bumper. Their direction of travel is unknown. Blane Barksdale has numerous tattoos on his arms and hands. Officials with the FBI, US Marshals Office and Apache County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation. Call 9-1-1 if you see them.fox13now.com/2019/08/27/manhunt-underway-after-two-homicide-suspects-escape-in-utah/Thoughts? Based on local news reports, Blane and Susan were still at large at least as of August 27th, 2019. Other reports suggest they "overpowered" the security guards but don't say how. As for the homicide itself, no motive was given, although the Barksdales apparently also faced robbery and arson charges in his death (Bligh's house had been burned down and another suspect, Blane's nephew, was arrested with the arson): tucson.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/accused-in-tucson-killing-escape-while-being-returned-to-pima/article_0ffc387c-c903-11e9-af15-f392d041ac44.html#96I have two questions, which is A) What is with these private transport companies? As we saw with Oscar Menjivar-Herrera on The Hunt, these suspects keep escaping them and B) Why weren't Blane and Susan separated as opposed to being transported together which in turn would allow them to talk and scheme with each other? UPDATE: On September 9th, 2019, Blane Barksdale was added to the U.S. Marshals Top 15 Most Wanted list, with Susan Barksdale mentioned as also still being at large as of September 9th, 2019.
The U.S. Marshals are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading directly to Blane Barksdale’s arrest. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading directly to Susan Barksdale’s arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office, the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-877-WANTED-2, or submit information through the U.S. Marshals Tips app at www.usmarshals.gov/tips.

Also, on a relatively unimportant note, I put national in the thread title as the wanted location since the Barksdales allegedly committed homicide in Arizona but were caught in upstate New York (initially) and escaped in Utah.

The Marshals have added Blane Barksdale to its 15 Most Wanted list with a $25,000 reward, with Susan Barksdale mentioned as also being still at large with a $10,000 reward. I don't know why they didn't add both considering there are multiple open spots but there actually is a precedent for adding only one of two people wanted for the same incident(s) as they only added Janet but not Ramon Barretto in the past but the main thing is there alleged very dangerous murder suspects and escapees are now on on an even bigger national spotlight and we finally have a new addition to the list. www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/barksdale/barksdale.htm

I also inserted the Barksdales' wanted posters into the OP. (Also according to updated articles, they apparently faked a medical emergency and claimed to need the bathroom at one point and then charged the guards, but I'm still confused as they whether they simply physically overpowered or if they had a weapon, articles still won't state that, but they should be considered VERY armed and dangerous regardless and anyone who spots them should not try to apprehend them on their own but still do the right thing and call 911, The Marshals etc... ) Also, it has been theorized the Barksdales may be getting help from white supremacists: www.cnn.com/2019/09/10/us/arizona-most-wanted-couple-white-supremacists/index.html

Also sorry I know I'm talking to myself right now (they were added in pacific time so this isn't a passive-aggressive comment, I know you guys will start giving your insight soon as well)- but so many people are bashing the private transport company and that isn't even my biggest issue it's an issue obviously but not my biggest which is- Sorry I know I'm repeating myself again but I still feel we also need to focus on WHY WHERE THEY EVEN TRANSPORTED TOGETHER IN THE FIRST PLACE? Did it not occur to someone that two people who knew each other could possibly scheme together before or during the transport?
I get the private transport is to save money (which didn't work out and proved the saying you get what you pay for) but was not making two separate trips also to save money? Two people wanted for the same crime should be separated at all times.

For what it's worth, Susan Barksdale's Facebook is still online. Obviously she's not going to log into while in the run, but I guess it's good for psychological insight. I think this is why the Marshals warn not to be fooled by them as her profile makes her and Blane come across as a normal couple, normal family etc... www.facebook.com/susan.barksdale.52

Question: Shouldn't the Barksdales be labeled as Non-TV captures since they weren't profiled on In Pursuit and just local news stations only covered the story (especially in Tucson & Phoenix)?

As I have already explained in the thread, they count as tv captures because they were in the national news such as CNN, etc...
Also In Pursuit posted about the manhunt on Facebook.
High-profile national news cases also count as TV show captures.
