(Above photo credit: williamsondailynews.com) From the Williamson Daily News: PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police has obtained an arrest warrant for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for Charles Ray Blevins, 37, of Williamson, according to a news release. Blevins is wanted in the shooting death of Adrian Smith, 44, from Cleveland, W.Va., in Webster County. The murder occurred at a playground in South Williamson, Ky., around 8 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner's office. This investigation has been ongoing, and KSP detectives have been conducting interviews and processing evidence from the scene. Anyone having contact with Blevins is urged to use extreme caution, as he is considered armed and dangerous. In addition, anyone with any information on his location is asked to call the Kentucky State Police at 606-433-7711 or dial 911. All callers can remain anonymous.www.williamsondailynews.com/news/warrant-issued-for-murder-suspect-charles-blevins/article_10f1c540-a7e2-11e9-aba4-37ee5c254a35.htmlThoughts? I am placing Blevins in the Fugitives on TV section since In Pursuit with John Walsh's Facebook page posted a link to a Kentucky State Police alert about the manhunt. They posted the link on July 17th, 2019 which would make him still at large at least of that day. I could not find anything online about an alleged motive in the case. But allegedly murdering a guy at a public place like a playground at a still relatively early time in the evening is obviously very serious. Blevins was on a "Most Wanted" segment on HLN's "True Crime Live" broadcast yesterday so I can fill in some blanks. -Blevins is already a convicted murderer from West Virginia (he is from West Virginia but this town in Kentucky apparently borders both states). He appealed after successfully arguing ineffective counsel and plead guilty to a reduced charge a few years ago. -The motive is still unknown but thought to be possibly drug-related as that was the motive in the West Virginia case. Also I found am article when Blevins was convicted in 2009: www.wsaz.com/home/headlines/43219757.html

According to wsaz .com Blevins is still at large but the us marshals have posted a 10000 dollar reward given how stingy west Virginia parole laws are im surprised that he was only convicted of 2nd degree murder and only served 10 years usually the charge for 2nd degree murder is punishable by up to 30 to 40 years but i guess its a moot point now cant cry over spilled milk let's hope he's caught soon before anyone else gets hurt btw any thoughts on where he could be I know west Virginia and kentucky are obvious maybe he could be in ohio or pennsylvania or Virginia maybe even maryland or new york

Not much is known about him to make geographic predictions but I am surprised In Pursuit never officially profiled him on the actual show. Not condoning it but maybe because the homicide was possibly drug related.

Sorry I just noticed he managed to get a reduced sentence how the hell did he do that guy was convicted of murder he shoots some and they die over some kind of drug dispute that's a friggin stupid motive if you ask me but if hadn't gotten a reduced sentence the second victim may still be here but he maybe a prime contender for the usms most wanted list lets hope im right

I am glad the US Marshals are doing this renewed publicity effort, considering Blevins’s criminal history. The fact that he’s wanted for a second alleged murder charge after getting a reduced sentence for the first murder case proves how scary he is.
