Jerry Lee Armstrong disappeared over 35 years ago at the age of 17. I'm pretty certain that he was never aired on AMW.
On Dec 23, 1977, Jerry, a student at a high school in Hernando, Mississippi who was also a quarterback on the football team, was heading to pick up his girlfriend for the school's prom. Jerry had borrowed his brother, James's car, a white 1973 LeMans with red and black racing stripes. Jerry was last seen at the prom and dropped his girlfriend off at her home. Neither Jerry, nor the car have ever been seen again.
Some believe that the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) was involved in Jerry's disappearance. James's brother was dating a Caucasian woman which probably would have made the Klan angry at James. According to a family member, many members of the local community did not approve of the interracial relationship. The Klan may have attacked Jerry, mistaking him for James, especially since Jerry was driving James's car. James died of a gunshot wound in 1984 which was ruled a suicide, but his family had some doubts about that. The family also criticized the original investigation into Jerry's disappearance. The current investigating officer said valuable information was missing from Jerry's police file. A sergeant with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said in 2009 that a certain law enforcement agency or officers were intimidating potential witnesses to Jerry's disappearance, but didn't mention who specifically.

Thoughts? Due to Jerry disappearing in 1970s Mississippi, it wouldn't be surprising that the Ku Klux Klan would be involved due to the circumstances, and that the local law enforcement would at least not properly investigate.
