I am placing Forrest in the Fugitives on TV section since In Pursuit with John Walsh's Facebook page linked to the above story on one of their postings yesterday (see the show's June 15th, 2019 status updates). Also I put 2016 as the wanted year in the thread title since according to another article that is when Forrest first became at large: ktxs.com/news/abilene/warrant-issued-for-abilene-man-on-the-run-wanted-for-having-sex-with-boysAccording to another article, these alleged assaults date all the way back to the 1990s: www.bigcountryhomepage.com/news/online-shopping-habits-could-help-catch-wanted-abilene-sex-offender-suspect/700113231And finally, another way for us to track any updates on Forrest's wanted status (he's obviously still at large as of our posting date- June 16th, 2019 based on the In Pursuit posting being from only yesterday) is that there is actually a Facebook page dedicated to finding him (the page seems to be run by his ex-wife who claims Forrest still tries to contact her via email): www.facebook.com/findjeffforrest UPDATE #1: As of January 14th, 2020 anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call or text "In Pursuit" on the Investigation Discovery channel at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.com
UPDATE #2: On Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, Forrest was added to the U.S. Marshals Top 15 Most Wanted list: www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/forrest/forrest15.pdf

Although we already knew he was being aired on the second half of episode 1 tomorrow, just wanted to mention Forrest is now officially on the tip form for season 2 of In Pursuit.

There were some important clues on this alleged creep last night, one is that Forrest may have been seen crossing the border from Del Rio, Texas into Mexico. He weighed 255 lbs when he went on the run but may have lost some weight. He's a heavy drinker, and finally has a Star Wars alliance tattoo on his right ankle.
Also, I must say I admire Blake and his bravery appearing on camera about Forrest's alleged abuse.

Perhaps the Marshals in Abilene only placed Winston on their regional 15 most wanted list, but he sounds exceedingly prolific. My interpretation of the case tells me he's hurt dozens of children, many of them starting in their single digits. And now that Corey DeShawn Gaston has been captured, they NEED to replace DeShawn with Winston. Some people might get the wrong impression that the detective was talking about the national most wanted list, and the very fact that they haven't indeed put Winston there already is a travesty.

For anyone confused by 912th's comment, we are a bit confused since on In Pursuit, a U.S. Marshal stated Forrest is on the U.S. Marshals Top 15 list, but he is not listed on their website as such. I would agree he would be a perfect addition to the list officially.

I give the US Marshals 110% support behind adding Jeffrey Winston Forrest to their 15 Most Wanted List. I especially have faith in the Marshals that this will result in Jeffrey's apprehension.

Is it just me but have the Marshals ever added a dirt bag to their Top 15 while in the midst of a national global viral threat? If not then this I think would be quite amazing that a guy would be added to the infamous 15 during the Coronavirus.
I wonder if Forrest is fast enough to outrun or out live the COVID-19 threat long enough to live through the humiliation of getting the cuffs slapped on him for the final time.

Seeing how this is the first one of its' nature that should answer the question. Also this is not to downplay the seriousness of coronavirus, I live in the epicenter of it, but sleuthing-wise I think we are overhyping in regards to fugitive searches. Many of these fugitives were already laying low anyway. I think if anything we may find out an older fugitive dies under an alias from it. Just feel it lacks creativity on our part if we're going to bring up coronavirus up on every individual thread.

P.S. I'm just happy he was captured, but right now it is unclear if In Pursuit and/or Live PD lead to his capture, but the way I look at it is they didn't add him to the USMS Top 15 list until after his airing so the show still helped in inspiring advanced publicity that eventually lead to an arrest.

Thankfully that's one more fugitive child predator off the streets. Appreciate the good work by Mexican authorities given the Covid-19 situation.
