Just a note that Merritt allegedly killed his mother after conviction of fraud charges. However, he was facing 15 years and his own brother pleaded to not let him remain free. So it was still stupid to let him out even if a financial case since we saw what would soon happen. Thank you for the correction. Still doesn't make it any less stupid what the judge did. If someone is facing a long prison sentence,they shouldn't be given a chance to run. Desperate people can sometimes do dangerous things. Best not to give them a chance to do so. |

According to 11alive.con he has been convicted of murder and other charges and will be sentdnced to life
