So far it looks like the manhunt had a happy ending. I was nervous for a second when I heard he was captured because I had no idea whether the kids would be recovered safely once they eventually caught Dimas. In future similar cases, exclamation points next to the captured stamps are a positive sign Also this still isn't a happy ending. Two children are still without a mother for the rest of their lives. However, it is a relief that they are safe and justice will hopefully be served.

Other Arizona media outlets are not reporting the capture, unfortunately.

Other Arizona media outlets are not reporting the capture, unfortunately. I knew someone was going to try to bring this up, it doesn't matter, 12news is a legit news source and the case is no longer on the OFFICIAL NCMEC site. Dimas is captured. The children are safe. This is a sensitive international case so the police are going to purposely be on the d/l about it. Coronado is captured. The children are safe. I run this site, and it is a risk to post anything I can't confirm so am I always very cautious. If I say it, it's true. In the rare cases I'm wrong, I'll say my bad. End of story. Let's no longer worry about the confirmation nonsense and just be thankful this case was resolved.

In some of these cases,I don't celebrate an arrest until the person is back on U.S. soil,as we've seen cases where someone escapes or gets let out before the U.S. can get them.

Well in theory that would mean we shouldn't celebrate Luis Mena's arrest either since he was arrested in Mexico but hasn't been extradited back just yet (or to the best of knowledge hasn't been). For me, although there's sometimes snafus, it depends on the country. Mexico's been pretty good at sending back fugitives once arrested lately, and the problem with them is getting them to arrest the fugitive in the first place even if they're hiding in plain sight. An arrest by them means we finally convinced them usually and although there's always slight nervousness in the back of my head, lately nine times out of ten it'll work out although sometimes it takes like a year or even more sometimes to extradite. But like there's other countries where who knows, you hear they're arrested but there's still a process, and you're not sure how much you can trust that process.
