(Above photo credit: Kansas City (Missouri) government website) From the Kansas City (Missouri) government website- Police Department- Cold Cases Unsolved Homicides Section: "On July 26, 1989, Fawn Cox’s body was discovered in her bed on the 2nd floor of her home near 9th and Van Brunt. Cox died a violent death, and her death was ruled a homicide. Evidence suggests that the suspect(s) broke into the residence during the night and murdered Cox, while other family members were asleep in other parts of the home. Anyone with information that can help solve this case is asked to call the Cold Case Squad at 816-234-5136.kcmo.gov/police/homicide-3/cold-case-unsolved-homicides/ (scroll down for Fawn's case) July 2017 article on Fawn's case: www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article160008244.htmlThoughts? Fawn was only 16-years old when she was murdered and had just finished her night shift as a cashier. Three juvenile males were arrested and charged with various counts of murder and sexual assault a month after Fawn's death, under the theory of a botched robbery. However, the case against them fell apart after police were not able to place any of the three young men at the crime scene and DNA tests failed to link at least one suspect to the crime scene. Moving our thread to the Unsolved on TV section since In Pursuit with John Walsh's Facebook page made a posting about Fawn's case last month (see the show's May 25th, 2019 status updates)

Glad to hear there's resolution in the search for Fawn's killer but sad to see it was her own cousin.
