In general satisfied with 2018 list so far. We'll wait and see how it continues to go.

Felt this would be the best place to post this. Anyone else notice there hasn't been a new featured fugitive case since Antwan Mims on May 15? Hopefully we aren't going into a period of sporadic additions, especially since we have to wait until early next year for In Pursuit.

Good catch! Maybe because its the summer? I dunno. One thing I also noticed is the white collar criminals section seems to not have many new additions anymore (just Eric Conn which was basically like a breaking news national manhunt case and Rodney Dean Allen).

I know Fugitives haven’t been added since May 15th but they have been adding missing persons cases though.

While they've done good with additions since our last conversion in mid-June, one thing I hope the FBI does this year is post fugitive profiles of at least one or two longtime FBI cases to their website. One or two is all I would ask at the very least.
Similar examples of longtime FBI cases as a comparison would be Leon Shaw and Victoria Cravitz who were added in early 2017 (I found an article that indicates the FBI were involved in the manhunt starting in the early 2000s), as well as when Wilfredo Rodriguez and John Anthony Quinn were added in late 2016.
I don't feel Andrew Dabbs who was added early this year counts as a longtime FBI case since I've never seen a poster, article or old website listing related to the FBI for his case. I bring this up with the capture of Jay Thomas Burlison this week who the FBI had been after since the mid-80s.

I've changed my request for the FBI regarding their featured fugitive additions.
If they won't stop adding so many non-violent drug traffickers, could they also add some crimes against children fugitives? We are still at only one of those cases for this year so far.

I think they may add someone soon since there still needs to be 3 replacements for Barrett Busschau, Leon Shaw and Victoria Cravitz.

Well it's October 22nd and the only featured fugitive case the FBI has added this month were the 12 federally wanted hackers based out of Russia.
I'm getting tired to complaining about publicity matters by the FBI. They did a good job by adding Lamont Stephenson and Glen Alyn Carlson and I respect the publicity they're doing to try to bring Jayme Closs home alive, but it's not about the quality of the additions but the overall quantity that I feel makes the overall value. Any publicity on any case is technically good (except non-violent drug traffickers at this rate), and three cases I referenced really need the publicity, but unless they've downsized the publicity department for the FBI, they are still really under-performing compared to previous years.

In fairness to the FBI, they've been going through a lot of isht.
They're supposed to be a non-political organization and have been dragged into politics by both sides of the aisle.
I do hope they add new (especially murder and crimes against children) fugitives soon at a more frequent pace.

I now agree with you Scumhunter since they added two more alleged Chinese Counterintelligence fugitives today. I think what is now happening with the featured fugitive situation is that the additions for the most part are regarding the Trump and Sessions political agendas more than public safety and getting justice for crime victims.

Well I felt it was more they've been distracted by politics. But I do think some of the fugitive additions have been more about pressure from the government to profile certain types of cases- which wouldn't necessarily be their fault.

The FBI doesn't have anything at stake if they stop bowing down to Beauregard-Sessions, do they?

All of us who have a job have to do things we disagree with our bosses over- big or small. But we also have to pick and choose our battles as well. You can't always be defying your boss or you'd be out of a job.

Ok HeadMarshal, as you know, they apparently listened to your rant and added a murder fugitive today (Robert Brumfield) lol.

The only addition I actually like from this era is that of Rafael Caro-Quintero, which gave the FBI its first reward in the millions since Gerena who was last on the list in 2016.
The 2 most recent additions to the Top Ten List, in particular Greg Carlson’s addition could mean a shift to CAC/Sex crimes fugitives on the Top Ten List.
However as for the site in general, the Murders section, they have added a couple of good cases like Octaviano Juárez-Corro, Stanley Obas, Joel Carranza, Brad Bishop (after his removal from Top Ten).
The child crimes section has been very inactive for the most part this year with only Gustavo Cruz being the only addition.
The lack of additions to the CAC section leads me to believe that in order to get rid of some of their longtime section veterans like Bruce Sawhill, Rene Ramirez, Jorge Martinez, Jr, Rex Reichert, and others, they may start adding one of them to the FBI Top Ten.
