From NBC News:
A manhunt was underway Wednesday for a gunman who opened fire inside the Maryland business where he worked, killing three co-workers and critically wounding two others.
Radee Labee Prince, 37, is also wanted in connection with another shooting incident that happened several hours later in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, according to a police advisory.
"There's an individual out there on the loose who's committed one of the most heinous acts in our county," said Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler of Harford County, Maryland. "We certainly consider him armed and dangerous."
Armed with a handgun, Prince arrived at the Advanced Granite Solutions in the town of Edgewood around 8:30 a.m. to start his shift, Gahler said.
Instead, the sheriff said, Prince started shooting. Afterward, he fled in a black GMC Arcadia with Delaware plates.
"This does appear to be a targeted attack, limited to that business," Gahler said, noting that all five victims worked for the company.
Prince had worked as a machine operator for the company for four months, Gahler said. But they still don't have a motive.
"We do not believe that anybody else was involved in this incident," he said.
Gahler said Prince had several earlier run-ins with the law.
Prince pleaded guilty in December 2003 to five counts of third-degree burglary and was sentenced to 25 years with all but two years suspended,The Baltimore Sun reported. He was ordered to pay $34,500 in restitution, the records show.
Later, Prince was charged with several handgun counts in March 2015 in Cecil County, Maryland, the paper reported. The charges, which included being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a handgun in vehicle, were later dropped by Cecil County prosecutors.
In February, a former co-worker of Prince's took out a restraining order against him in Harford County but the request was turned down by a judge.
Advanced Granite Solutions is located at the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, about 30 miles northeast of Baltimore.
The park and much of the surrounding area remained on lock down as the search for Prince continued. Some schools in the area were also closed as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the Shock Trauma hospital in Baltimore reported two of the injured from the “Emmorton Business Park shooting” were in critical condition.
Shock Trauma is part of the University of Maryland Medical Center and specializes in treating shock and its after effects.
The names of the victims have not been released.
