An escaped inmate charged with murder and statutory rape is on the loose in Coahoma County, Mississippi, authorities said Tuesday.
Law enforcement officials were searching the area for Marquis Stevenson, one of four inmates who broke out of the Coahoma County Jail in August, WREG reported.
Police are offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to his capture.
DeSoto County Schools released a statement saying that the manhunt was delaying buses leaving from schools.
“The Horn Lake Police Department is searching or a fugitive in DeSoto Village. As a result, all walkers at all Horn Lake schools will be kept at school until we receive clearance, and all buses to DeSoto Village will be delayed until the situation is resolved," the statement reads.
U.S. Marshals, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department and Horn Lake Police were on the scene searching for Stevenson, authorities said.
Three other inmates arrested on burglary and assault charges escaped with Stevenson, but were recaptured.

Thoughts? I don't see a direct number to call for tips right now so I'm assuming just for the time being just call 911 immediately if you think you spot Stevenson. And of course whatever you do, do not approach.
