Fugitive Profile as of July 8th, 2017: (Based on stophoustongangs.org & Harris County online court case search)
A.K.A.: Juan Olvin Fernandez
Date of Birth: 6/6/1986
Height: 5’09”
Weight: 170 pounds
Place of Birth: Honduras
Divis Garcia Ordonez is listed on a Houston website as one of the city's "Most Wanted" gang fugitives. He was 24 years old when he allegedly participated in the double homicide of 31 year-old Manuel Ponce and 23 year old Elvin Gutierrez-Reyes on March 20th, 2011. The other suspect, then 21-year old Antonio Leon a.k.a George Celaya, is currently in prison.
According to reports, Ponce and Gutierrez-Reyes were waiting in an apartment complex for either Ordonez or Leon to return home so they could return a lost phone to them.
When the suspects appeared, for reasons that appear to still be unknown up to this day, Ordonez and Leon allegedly began shooting at the Ponce and Gutierrez-Reyes, killing both of them.
Ordonez and Leon soon fled, presumably to their home country of Honduras.
Leon would eventually be captured. It is unclear where he was captured, but a Harris County online court case search I did on him says he was at one point put on an ICE Detainer, suggesting he was either captured in Honduras or another country. A Texas inmate search shows he was convicted for his role in the shootings and other cumulative offenses. His latest possible release date is in the year 2036 but he is eligible for parole as early as next year.
Ordonez, however, appears to still be at large, and seeing his presence on that Houston gang website, appears to be someone that HPD wants to catch very badly.
Thoughts?
