For anyone wondering, the Justice for Lori Facebook page has confirmed the man seen in the surveillance video that is a person of interest in the national news murders of James and Michelle Butler in Texas is NOT Brian Keith Freeman. This would be a surprise to me as I was skeptical to the suicide theory since most fugitives don't drive that far to kill themselves- if they commit suicide they usually do it closer to the crime scene.
This would be a first but hopefully they find his body for some closure.

The search for Freeman has been called off in Royse City with no sign of his body. Bones were found but none human. Freeman had reportedly called a female friend and stated he did a terrible thing, was going to go to into the woods to kill himself, and asked her to pray with him. However, with still no sign of Freeman, the Deputy Marshal interviewed in the article I will link to says he now believes Freeman did get out of Royse City after all, and the next step is figuring out how he got out of there and where he went. Really baffling how despite multiple crime show airings, the case has been basically a dead end (no pun intended) from the very beginning.
