the FBI Top Ten should take the attempted arrest and killing of Greg Carlson as a warning to turn themselves in or to go in peacefully in particular, Lamont Stephenson who is currently the at large fugitive holding the spotlight this week. I’m pretty sure he’s seen the coverage on Carlson and should know that he could be next if he wants to go down the hard way.

Absolutely. I hope what happened to Carlson puts enough of a scare into Stephenson to do the right thing and turn himself in.

Here's the thing: I'm wondering if they have DNA to identify him. As the FBI has said, they do not have any of Stephenson's fingerprints to identify him.
You would think that Stephenson would stand out: he's very short and stocky for his height. I'm somewhat (albeit, not totally surprised), that he's still on the lam.

That is an excellent point and what I figure as well. There must be some sort of DNA from the crime scene or Ivy's house in general since Lamont lived there also to compare to make sure they have the right guy if told where he is. I think that is why public tips are so crucial in this case. Although Lamont doesn't have a criminal history, if he does so much as steal a sandwich on the run, his name won't come up if he gives an alias and has a fake ID. But if they come to him specifically because of a public tip, they have a reason to compare DNA

Police have arrested Lamont Stephenson in Prince George's Maryland, however the news is bittersweet as it came after he may have stabbed a woman to death in her D.C. apartment this past Wednesday. It is unclear if that lead to his arrest. I am relieved and thrilled he was caught for the sake of Ivy DeJesus's family, but heartbroken he may have killed another a woman and cause another family grief for the rest of their lives as well. wtop.com/prince-georges-county/2019/03/prince-georges-co-police-arrest-man-on-fbis-10-most-wanted-list/

Omg the fact that Stephenson was really close to me is quite shocking, I had a feeling he was in the area, but even worse that he allegedly murdered another woman and her pet is just plain awful.

Yeah the scary thing is his described personality actually and what has happened suggests if he wasn't caught this week he essentially might have become a serial killer.
Supposedly there will be a press conference where they'll state how they figured out so fast how they developed Stephenson as a suspect in the murder of Natina Kiah, how they caught him so fast, determined it was him etc...

ABC News is showing a live press conference about Stephenson's capture if you look up their Facebook.

So far I haven't seen In Pursuit mentioned at the press conference but I started late. This probably isn't a direct capture but rather an FBI top 10/overall publicity capture but we'll see later as the officials stated they were withholding some information.

It stated that they captured Stephenson as a result of a traffic stop as Prince George’s County Police believed his vehicle was suspicious.

Thanks. As we stated fugitives often go down in mundane ways like that. I'm sure In Pursuit will update even though it wasn't a direct result.

The last 2 captures have been very violent IMO, Carlson being killed by pointing a gun at officers and Stephenson allegedly murdering another woman and her cat before his capture

I wonder as to what the look on that Prince George's Co. Officer's face was like when he had just realized who he'd just lit up and pulled over.
