(Above photo credit: doenetwork.org) Authorities in Florida have been trying to identify a murdered woman who was killed over 20 years ago. AMW probably first aired this case in 1993/1994 and last aired it in 2004. The case was also featured on a very early episode of AMW: Final Justice. On Feb 15, 1991, the remains of a white female aged 16 to 25-years old were found on a dirt trail in a heavily wooded area of the Florida Keys. She had been beaten and strangled to death and she had probably been raped. An autopsy revealed she had been killed the day before, hence the nickname "Valentine Jane Doe". Tipsters pointed out that they had seen the woman hitchhiking in the Keys before she was murdered. Her clothing was not typical of someone from South Florida and she wasn't wearing tennis shoes or sandals. Authorities created a computerized image in 1993 of what she may have looked like. There are some important clues in identifying her, mainly that she suffered from ovarian and Fallopian tube cysts, and she may have carried a baby to full-term pregnancy. She also had excellent dental care and two tattoos. Thoughts? I suspect for reasons brought up that she was definitely not from South Florida and probably was either a teenage runaway or a woman who wanted to start a fresh life for herself. The fact that she was seen hitchhiking likely means that she wasn't killed by a friend or longtime companion. That sadly means that identifying her won't get authorities much closer to determining who killed her. Admin Note #1: According to online research, if you have any information concerning the identity of this woman or the circumstances surrounding her homicide, you are asked to please contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Department at 305-289-2410 Admin Note #2: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-formdoenetwork.org/cases/49uffl.html www.fdle.state.fl.us/Content/Office-of-Statewide-Intelligence/Homicides/Jane-Doe-(2).aspxwww.wsvn.com/features/articles/justice/MI45879/two-jane-does/

This is a tough one. It sounds like she was a runaway and perhaps she picked the wrong car while hitchhiking? There's also nothing about this based on what you've described that suggests me that she was a prostitute, which is always an avenue to explore when a young lady goes missing and no one can identify her.

Wondering if her dental scans or xrays could lead to a possible identification

Bradley died as a victim of a homicide himself at age 31. I don't condone (unless self-defense) even murdering a murderer, but at the same time I am glad he received his karma and didn't get away with it.

And if someone turns himself in or evidence leads police to a suspect, that person should be charged. Like you,I won't lose sleep over Bradley having karma visit him but murder is murder.

This is fantastic news! I'm glad Wanda finally has her name back. I kind of figured it was probably someone who was never reported missing, because I feel like someone would have figured out who she was much earlier. Seems like a lot of old, unsolved cases have been solved lately thanks to DNA advances.
Interestingly, Wanda's photo looks a LOT like the actress playing her in the reenactment, at least from what I can remember.

I'm glad that Wanda is now identified and has gotten justice. These doe cases sure have seen light over the last several years that now I can only think of a handful of doe cases still unsolved. Plus this isn't the first time a murderer from a true crime show got murdered himself. One last thing I want to know, have they figured out if she was pregnant or had a child since some reports say she might've.
