Haha I was talking about Callahan being more present with pakman the other day.
And yeah there is this weird juxtaposition where basically Trump is the reason The Hunt had to move to HLN as CNN is now talking about him 24/7, but at the same time The Hunt seems to be working out better on HLN. So I guess we have him to blame and thank at the same time lol.

Tonight was the first 40/20 episode (in terms of length of 2 cases on show) on the fourth season I think, as this season had usually been a half hour dedicated to each case and 30/30 episodes. In past seasons, there has been 40/20 episodes, but not this season until now I think.
The Ty & Tisa Yiyara case taking up the first 40 minute case of course.
Also, thought it was a bit unique that although brief, the show started out in sort of documentary format summarizing L.A. and the African-American community of Crenshaw. Sort of somewhat reminded me of the style they used for the "OJ: Made in America" documentary. Uusally the show starts out giving background on the victim and their history to get you to emotionally connect with them.
Of course in this one, both victims chose to remain anonymous for understandable reasons.
Orlando Orea profile was shorter than I thought it would be, but basically did sum everything up adequately in 20 minutes.

The online TV listings still have the "Good Wife" Bhadreshkumar Patel and Berny Figueroa episode listed as the October 8th new episode. We know that can't be the case.
Logic would say that the Peter Chadwick and Luis Mena episode will air on that date.
However, The Hunt doesn't always air scheduled cases even when a fugitive isn't captured as the Dimitrions were supposed to air in season 1 and were bumped back to season 3.
So I truly don't know what's going to happen on October 8th.
I just hope it is a new episode since although not the largest difference it would be a bit disappointing to get 15 episodes when we were promised 16.

And yeah I know CNN was only 8 episodes a season but when the show is a court of last resort that can only air 1-2 cases an episode, it needs to show as many fugitives as it possibly can in a year.

Just realized we're in for a rare treat- John Walsh in October! Besides the last two weeks on Lifetime, AMW traditionally was took off Fox in October due to the baseball playoffs and The Hunt when it was on CNN ended in late August/early August.
So we're getting a FULL October of John Walsh for the first time in at least two decades lol.

Just realized we haven't had a 'Hunt' surrender since Genevieve Kelly in season 1 or a 'Hunt' confirmed death since Kevin Stoeser's remains were found after season 1. (Paul Winkebleck was found dead before his airing but if you want to get technical I guess him).
Based on law of averages I guess one or the other will happen soon lol.

Getting kind of annoyed original schedule had some repeats after the new episode at 8 PM tonight, now it's repeats of "How It Really Happened". I understand that "Something's Killing Me" was a popular show but their season ended. When there's no other new series on Sundays, the entire night should be dedicated to The Hunt to help catch the bad guys (or girls) not caught yet. Part of the reason we were excited about the move to HLN even though it's a lesser-viewed network than CNN is that they had/have a lot of space for repeats when CNN didn't.
Just blowing off some steam here, as I'm sure they'll play more reruns eventually. But I would prefer they do it sooner rather than later. The Hunt has had great capture success on HLN so far, which is specifically why I'm annoyed they seem to be cutting back on the reruns.

Nevermind saw the show is taking the post-Hunt time slot with new episodes in two weeks so I'm slightly less annoyed now.
Not as annoyed when there's new episodes of another show following The Hunt, it's when repeats of other shows not them are aired afterwards that annoys me.

Something came up so I had to pause The Hunt on DVR. I don't always have anything to add but I might not finish the show until 10 pm or afterwards tonight if I do.

OK finished at 9:15 instead of 9 PM ET so not so bad LOL.
But yeah not much to say besides it was a good episode. At one point I thought John Walsh was going to call Rudy Fernandez a piece of sh** but he said human garbage.
It is interesting because John Walsh seems to hate Rudy Fernandez so much, I think this might have been the case he's been the most vocal about this season, yet Rudy has been on the run for now 16 years and I don't recall it being as prominently profiled on AMW despite Walsh's hate.
Not a criticism, just don't get why AMW didn't air him that much considering how passionate Walsh seems about the case. (if he was aired at all since none of us can remember if he was a web-exclusive case or not).
Was interesting seeing the video deposition of Michael Akerly, and pretty incredible that his bond got reduced to 2500 was it? I forget but it was ridiculously low considering what he was accused of.

Rudy Fernandez, if I'm recalling this correctly, was never profiled on AMW. I can't find his photo in my personal episode guide image directory. He may have been a website case, but my evidence is telling me he wasn't actually on AMW.
