In case anyone is wondering, the case against Said is very solid. Even if they don’t have a murder weapon, they have the 911 tape. It is admissible as it is a) non-testimonial; b) And it’s not hearsay because it’s both an excited utterance and a dying declaration. Sarah makes it clear that Yaser shot her and her sister in that tape.

HOLY CRAP.
This is a capture I never expected to see coming,especially given where it was.
I would have thought he would have fled the country a long,long time ago.
I assume we'll learn more about what he's been up to but I'm glad Amina and Sarah will finally get some justice.

Actually I remember saying on this site repeatedly that I am normally against the death penalty with some rare exceptions- and Yaser Said is one of those rare exceptions and the only appropriate punishment for a guy like him is death. But the more I think about it, the more I think he might actually WANT the death penalty- it gives him the chance to paint himself as a martyr dying for his "honor." While if you give him life and let him rot- and you know damn well considering he molested his daughters as well- that they will need to put him in isolation for his own protection- he'll die a lowly rotting scumbag instead. I'll be happy with whatever he gets though. |

It should be noted that his brother and son have been arrested for harboring a fugitive and from the sounds of it,they won't be the only ones.
Sad to say but that isn't a surprise given the belief system the Said family sans the two girls were operating under.
Murder was a justifiable thing in their eyes for "dishonoring" their family so it makes perfect sense they would continue to shelter him for all these years.

So some youtube videos have stated he was captured at his residence in justin and was apparently living in that house for a few years meaning he could have been splitting time between North Texas Egypt and New York /New Jersey and Virginia

Because Let Face It he had to be in New York/New Jersey his brother has a house just north of the bronx in Westchester County and he could have spent time in Virginia And he had to have spent time in At Least Cairo or Sinai as he was spotted there if I'm not mistaken But he was hiding in Justin at for a few years

At the time all we know is he was at that house in Justin for the past few years. Anything else would be speculation. And so far we don't know if the FBI will reveal anything more since it seems they may still be investigating anyone else who may have helped facilitate his time on the run.

Just a hunch, but I am guessing either his brother or son were renting the house out to him (hence the harboring charges).
