From ABC Houston:
HOUSTON (KTRK) --
Houston police say they have a suspect in the murder of 20-year-old Shelbey Thornburgh. The young woman was found dead in her apartment on November 2015 near Sharpstown mall. The victim's older sister drove from Alabama Wednesday morning to plead for someone to come forward.
Krystina Scott is still grieving after her only sister was found dead inside her apartment in the 7500 block of Bellaire Boulevard.
"She has a lot of family and friends who truly miss her. She was my best friend," said Scott.
It was November 4, 2015. Police said she was assaulted and her throat was cut.
"I'm begging y'all, she was only 20 didn't deserve her life to be gone and cut at the throat," said the sister, in tears.
Surveillance video at the apartment complex shows a man wearing sunglasses at 9 o'clock going in and out of the complex. They believe the 20-year-old let him inside.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest. You can call 713-222-TIPS and remain anonymous.
Meantime, Scott has this message for the man who took her baby sister from her: "All I got to say is you're pretty sorry for taking a life from me," she said in tears. "How could you live with yourself? I hope when they catch you, you regret every action you done that night."

Thoughts? I am placing Shelbey's case in the unsolved on tv section since her murder was profiled on the October 28th, 2016 episode of the syndicated crime show "Crime Watch Daily." Her sister says that Shelbey worked as an escort to support her modeling career. This has lead to fears the suspect may be a serial killer. Unfortunately he used an untraceable burner phone when replying to Shelbey's personal ad. In any Case, Shelbey's profession although illegal in no way excuses the brutal manner in which she was murdered. She was still a human being, and no one deserves to die the way that she did.
