On March 26, 1987, the body of 13-year old Veronica Taylor was found in Lubbock, Texas. She had been strangled with her panties, sexually assaulted and died from a blow to the head. Authorities strongly believe that someone in the apartment complex where Veronica was last seen is responsible but have never been able to prove it. In 2008, updated DNA evidence was analyzed but that has also failed to identify a suspect. Based on crime location, our advice for anyone with information regarding the murder of Veronica Taylor would be to contact the Lubbock Police Department at 806-775-2865.

The only optimistic possibility is that the killer is in prison for an unrelated crime and therefore is not a current threat to society, but even then he would have had to have victimize someone else. www.kcbd.com/story/17260040/25-years-since-violent-death-of-veronica-taylorwww.txdps.state.tx.us/TexasRangers/UnsolvedHomicides/Details.aspx?&id=49

We've seen with the Robin Cornell & Lisa Story case that sometimes all it takes is time. I know the stereotypes of these types of killers is they're the people you least expect, but it's very hard for people of such a nature to be model citizens entirely all the time. Hopefully the killer slips up because Veronica deserves justice.
