Don Gillispie was a businessman who came to several Idaho communities and touted his idea of a profitable nuclear power plant. Eventually, Payette County agreed to his idea in 2010 which he claimed would create 2000 permanent jobs. However, Don's plan was a scam through his company Alternate Energy Holdings Inc. In 2012, Don was ordered to pay back millions of dollars to investors who bought shares in the publicly traded company. AEHI's vice president Jennifer Ransom pled guilty to securities fraud but Don Gillispie fled. In 2015, the US Marshals issued a warrant for his arrest.
----
Thoughts? We don't come across too many fugitives wanted out of Idaho, but fraud as well as crime in general can occur anywhere. Don Gillispie is just as evil as any murderer or child molester. With so much money gained through fraud and likely his years in business, Don probably fled the US as most white-collar fugitives end up doing.
Since Don Gillispie is listed on the Crime Stoppers of SW Idaho website, our recommendation for anyone with information concerning his whereabouts would be to contact them at 208-343-2677.
