From the AMW archives:
DNA Breakthrough In N.Y. Homicide
Investigators have received a significant second positive DNA result in the Kim Simon case. This “hit” involves presence of male DNA on the evidence, and the DNA profile has now been linked to an individual that was identified as being in the area of where Kim would eventually be found.
This individual had been questioned during the original investigation.
Additionally, forensic testing recently conducted by the New York State Police Crime Lab and Orchid Cellmark of Dallas, Texas, has revealed something unexpected in the evidence submitted from this case -- the DNA profile of an unknown female.
The presence of this female at the crime scene is consistent with statements made by eyewitnesses who came forward and told investigators that they observed a second female present with Kim Simon on the night she was murdered.
Pieces Missing; Unidentified Female Sought
On the evening of Sept. 18, 1985, witnesses say they observed a girl, who they believed was Kim Simon, with Another Female at a party spot along Sauquoit Creek in New York Mills, adjacent to Mitchell’s Fruit Stand on Commercial Drive. This spot was known as "3 Bears" or "The Pit".
Several male individuals have also been identified as being there.
Along with Kim, this unidentified female may have also been victimized that night. Investigators hope that this unknown female will contact them because they believe that she is one of the few missing pieces remaining before they can finally bring the true killers of Kim Simon to justice.
A Second Female Sought, And More Tips Are Needed
Another unknown female has recently emerged as being very important to solving this case.
Sometime between 1997 and 1998, an Unidentified Female entered a Mental Health Facility located in Utica, N.Y., seeking assistance for emotional distress. This female told at least two different individuals employed at the facility about how she had intimate knowledge of what had happened to Kim Simon. She said her significant other -- either her boyfriend or husband -- had confessed to being present when Kim Simon was killed, and at least two other males and one female were also there that night.
Valuable information came in to AMW’s Hotline when the story first aired regarding Kim’s past relationships. Investigators say they need more of that kind of that specific information to help uncover the identity of Kim’s killer.
Investigators are also hoping to hear from anyone at the mental health facility who may have spoken with this unknown female.
Final Touches
Investigators believe that with the cooperation and assistance of these two unidentified females, they will finally be able to bring closure to the family of Kimberly Simon, something that has been sadly missing for more than 25 years.

Thoughts? The above was from the AMW archives which states Kim Simon's case was last aired on the March 13th, 2010 episode of America's Most Wanted.
I have two questions which I hope my fellow AMW fans can answer:
1. Wasn't this case also aired in 2008 or planned to be aired in 2008? I'm going crazy here wondering about my memory since the archive doesn't mention that.
2. Didn't AMW receive good tips on this case or am I thinking of another case?
