The fourth FBI case I'm doing is that of parental abductor Ann Kibalo. She was last aired on AMW in 2008.
In 1999, Ann Kibalo gave birth to a daughter named Samantha. Three weeks later, she divorced from her husband. Her behavior grew bizarre when she constantly accused Samantha's father, Michael of abusing the little girl as well as taking her to seven different doctors 33 times in the first eleven months of her life. There were no indications of anything wrong with Samantha. A psychiatrist testified that Ann had a rare disorder which may cause her to abuse Samantha.
Ann and Samantha disappeared in 2001. In 2006 there were reported sightings of them in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area. Authorities weren't able to confirm the sightings but admitted that they were credible. Michael believes that the two are being aided by Ann's mother because she had refinanced her house several times. Michael also believes that Ann is homeschooling Samantha and is abusing her. They may also be in Florida, Illinois or New Hampshire.
Thoughts? I'm pretty certain that Ann is being assisted by her family in some way. It's also quite possible that Ann is passing herself and Samantha off as the victim of familial abuse to sympathetic people.
