As of July 16th, 2018, Garcia is still listed as a wanted fugitive on the FBI's website. (Same link as in the OP).

As of today, February 8, 2021, Santino Mario Garcia is still a wanted fugitive on the FBI's featured fugitives page.
In addition, the UFAP document accessed through PACER mentions the name of the victim as Brice "Alex" Rodriguez. I just wanted to post the victim's name out of respect to his family since I couldn't find it mentioned in any articles.
The UFAP document showed that there is more to Brice's murder than what is mentioned on the FBI poster. Going through the document, I don't believe posting the details here in this thread is a good idea until it is mentioned in the media (most likely during the trial if and when Santino is apprehended again).

Or until a publicity campaign for his capture occurs. But I can’t believe he was captured in Mexico and subsequently released, that’s one thing that really bothers me about the Mexican justice system is they don’t hold anyone, but then again it’s the corrupt officials, and organized crime’s fault.

This case is really underrated I personally think if he was on the amw reboot or in pursuit or a true crime show he would have been arrested by now given that he's a documented gang member and not to mention a pretty violent gang at that it's a pretty violent group the notrenos is a very brutal gang they have ties to the Mexican American prison gang la nuestra familia they are kind of like this they pay tribute to the la nuestra familia who is pretty violent as well the whole notrenos gang is basically the suerenos gang but where as they are based in socal in cities like Fresno los Angeles San Diego and Riverside and San Bernardino where these guys were founded in Salinas they have a very big presence in the bay area Sacramento and San Jose Sacramento is where there is a very big gang population while not on the level as los Angeles or even the bay area like San Francisco or Oakland however it important to remember Garcia is an american citizen and weirdly enough even though he is Hispanic and part of a Hispanic American gang he's not known to speak Spanish I find that very odd and could be the key that I think could result in his arrest

Maybe this is ignorant of me, but I feel that not known to speak Spanish may either be a red herring or a misunderstood clue, like maybe he prefers to speak English, but I find it hard to believe he doesn't speak any Spanish at all, especially if he's in Mexico where even if he didn't he has to have picked it up by now.

Thx for your input I firmly believe that he is still in Mexico because if he has no problem shooting someone over a game of dominoes that shows me that Garcia has no problem using violence to solve problems and he was only in his twenties he has shown me and others that he is a very dangerous unpredictable man and that he possess a volcanic temper and the fact that he was only 23 and decided to just end some ones life and he started down the path of a violent sociopathic gangster I have no doubt he's not living a lawful life in Mexico I would think he may have gotten involved in the illegal narcotics trade and maybe he could have been working as a enforcer or even a hitman I hope he has not killed anyone but I wouldn't put it past it him if his conduct is anything goes by

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt I have seen where young men make a bad choice by being drawn to the gangs but I understand that many see it as a way to make a progression for there station in life but many choose to leave and they pay there debt to society o have seen it time and time again all over the US including new York los Angeles Chicago and Houston many former street gang members enlist for three reasons they want to power want to be a recognized as a individual and the last reason is money or in there opinion to be enriched as a person I grew up in Florida my dad grew up in st Petersburg he told me that what the city used to be like there was different areas where other people lived most were nice and there was very little crime but as time progressed the complex issues started to emerge he told me that during the aftermath after the Vietnam war that a lot of the Asians from the war ravaged nations of laos cambodia and Vietnam China and Thailand which when these people got to the states they were destitute angry directionless especially the young men like time and abd time again they took Matters into there own hands and with very few options they formed gangs and as sad as that is itd just part of a groups of problems that we have to address but I have hope

I’m going to be honest- I don’t think Garcia is the right example for this but in general I agree with the sentiment. There’s plenty of cases on this forum where the victim was a young gang member who while not condoning their actions could have turned their life around.
Garcia on the other hand is a scumbag I have no sympathy for.

Garcia is a very infuriating case I agree the fact that he's still at large enrages me but manhunts take time I have no doubt he will be caught over the recent years we have bagged numerous high profile cases not limited to Luis Mena Javier montanez jr Octaviano Juarez corro and not to mention Brian ontiveros I firmly believe will bag him soon enough his luck will run out I know his time will come
