He’s a very dangerous individual, but I think once Arnoldo Jimenez or Santiago Mederos get caught he’d be a decent addition.
Right now I would like to see a child Crimes Fugitive added like Bruce Sawhill, who is believed to have fled to another region of the United States.
I think the reason the FBI hasn’t added a child Crimes Fugitive is because they get fairly low sentences compared to murder and drug trafficking fugitives. Walter Williams was sentenced to 5 years in prison and is expected to be released this year.

Eric Toth would up getting 25 years, which is a relatively lengthy sentence (some argue too short as well but somewhat besides the point). I think a lot of it is there's just been more of a focus on the most violent alleged crimes.

I don’t know why, but I’ve got a heavy hunch that maybe 3 FBI Top Ten Fugitives are about to get caught, and the individuals I feel that hunch for are Yaser Said, Santiago Mederos and Arnoldo Jimenez.
It’s interesting how I’m having this hunch since it was around this time 10 years ago that the Top Ten List had 3 slots open up when Emigdio Preciado, Edward Harper, & Jorge Lopez Orozco were all captured.

It's happened when there's been a bunch of recent cases, based on the law of averages, another capture or two will probably happen this summer, but I think the wanted years are too spread out for three captures to happen before the end of September.
Would love to be proven wrong though.

I realize it takes the "fun" out of predicting but any fugitive added to the violent crimes and murders section of the FBI's website is a candidate for the top ten list by default.
With that being said I think Jamaine Harrington is an even more likely addition than usual as he fits a few key areas- has been on the run since 2015 which is recent but long enough where extra publicity could be helpful, he probably could be caught off public tips, and the murder happened as the result of a fight at a hotel where he opened fire in public which checks off the danger to the public aspect.
Of course we have to wait for the next capture to happen to see if I'm right.

I really don’t have any contenders at the moment, but he’d be an excellent choice should the FBI have a slot open (and/or highly unlikely but remove someone from the list)

Its Late July/Early August 2019, there’s only a few short months before the decade wraps up, however instead of posting who the next capture could be, I thought it’d be interesting to point out which fugitives stand out on the Top Ten List.
At the start of the Decade, Whitey Bulger, Osama Bin Laden, and Victor Manuel Gerena all stood out with rewards in the millions, however both Osama and Bulger were located in 2011 and after their captures Jason Derek Brown had his reward increased to $200,000 in 2013, thus making him priority #2, and by this point Brown was already a heavy weight on the Top Ten in terms of publicity attraction.
The list would get more “publicity attractive” fugitives in 2014 with the addition of Brad Bishop and Yaser Said, thus balancing out the list with Brown, Fisher, Urbina and Gerena.
In 2017 after Victor Gerena was removed, Brown became the only Fugitive with a reward greater than $100,000, and in terms of being “publicity attractive” they had also Brad Bishop, Bhadreshkumar Patel, Yaser Said, Robert Fisher, Walter Yovany Gomez and Robert Van Wisse.
Fast forward to 2019, nearly every Fugitive if not all on the current list are publicity attractive at this point, and the FBI made it possible with their latest 2 additions as well as choosing some challenging fugitives back in 2017.
In terms of reward, Jason Derek Brown and Rafael Caro-Quintero (and maybe Eugene Palmer as additional reward money aside from the $100,000 by the FBI is also possibly being offered) stand out on that front
Robert Fisher, Alexis Flores, Jason Derek Brown, Yaser Said, Bhadreshkumar Patel, Santiago Mederos, Alejandro Castillo, Rafael Carl-Quintero, Arnoldo Jimenez, & Eugene Palmer are all very well known individuals at this point, they stand out because of how long they’ve been on the list, their crime, were featured on a crime show, are wanted for landmark cases, or their reward is just really huge.

This is actually a record for me not talking about Top Ten Contenders as it’s been 2 months since Eugene Palmer’s addition. The reason I’ve been silent on that and not posting as much as I used to will be addressed in a future post on another thread.
But the other reason why, is because the FBI Los Angeles has a full field of candidates (the recent article talking about L.A. area fugitives fleeing to Mexico), even those individuals in that article and individuals not mentioned like Warren Stern have good chances of making the list.
Baldomero Barrientos Banuelos, Saul Aguilar, and Warren Stern are all my wild card cold cases for the FBI Top Ten, Andres Zambrano could take a slot if one opens up soon.

Right now the list is stagnant although a capture always happens eventually, but not to sound passive-aggressive but not being able to talk about the list could be a good thing as it could give you more time to look at other cases beyond the FBI's fugitive cases.

With the recent capture of Us Marshals Top 15 Most Wanted, Peter Chadwick and FBI website Fugitive Juan Alberto Méndez within the last couple days, I hope we can get the same repeat from someone on the FBI Top Ten List already.
The fact that both Chadwick and Méndez ended up in Mexico is interesting and makes me think perhaps the individuals likely to be captured are Santiago Mederos, Alejandro Castillo &/or Arnoldo Jimenez.

Apparently it all makes sense to me now why the FBI has been adding a bunch of L.A. area fugitives. The special agent of the FBI Los Angeles, Scott Garriola, accredited with the capture of multiple Ten Most Wanted Fugitives including Whitey Bulger is said to be retiring soon. I’ve narrowed done my pool of candidates for the Top Ten List to 4 names with Saul Aguilar being at the top of my list as I want to see a cold case from the 1990s added for the first time since Fidel Urbina. Saul Aguilar, Jr - Wanted for the murder of his girlfriend in 1997, this case is pretty well needed since it’s a 20 year old case that sticks with special agent Garriola. Aguilar is said to be in Mexicali, Mexico . Also it would make sense for them to add Aguilar because they’ve just added a new image of him, as well as the recent trend of individuals murdering their significant others are added to the Top Ten List. Ricardo Villa - Wanted for the attempted murder of 4 people in 2015 while out on bail for narcotics charges. The FBI doesn’t add many non murder fugitives but he’s dangerous to the point where he can make an exception since he nearly killed 4 people. Andres Zambrano - the most likely choice of my pool of candidates, he’s wanted for murdering the mother of his 2 year old child in 2017. laist.com/2019/08/01/an_la_fbi_agent_wants_your_help_catching_12_socal_fugitives_before_he_retires.php

I’m wondering if Juan Alberto Mendez was in contention for the next available spot. Anyone else notice that the FBI released a press release when he was captured?

It is possible considering although they publicize a lot of their captures, they specifically seemed to tout Mendez's capture.
