I don't know if it's my phone or did the FBI site get a makeover?

I don't know if it's my phone or did the FBI site get a makeover? You're correct! I like it so far, pictures are much bigger on the most wanted pictures plus they're on the front page now as well.

Showing a good example, the new posters look good, the images are larger which is good in case someone wants to know if they spotted someone on the run, but in a way I miss how the site was. It's shocking to see that the site was changed as the format had only been used about 6 years

One unintended consequence though- all the FBI photos on our site now no longer work- which means I'll have to replace all those threads photos now- ugh!

Well I came here to post 2 things, what I liked about the old site is the fugitives and missing persons would be lined up next to one another and now they are bunched up, the main images used for each top tenner are now blurry. Another criticism I have is due to the site being made over the FBI apps no longer work. Now the other thing is that Shanika Minor was on the news over the weekend and she's bound over for trial. youtu.be/TFDTiO-ZmNA

I didn't even realize there was an FBI app. Perhaps uninstall and then re-install on your phone?
In any case, change takes a while to get used to. The photos are blurrier but they're larger now so they are arguably better for facial recognition. I dunno. A lot of times we don't like a format change and then after months/years go by we eventually get used to it.

I tried that and still doesn't work, so I uninstalled it. Hopefully new apps will come out that support the new site.
Now the larger images are good now if a person say wanted to distribute a poster and show them a photo of the fugitive of course it'll make people more aware of that person.
The old 2000s format was pretty good thought not like the 2010-2016 format which was great all around, but I agree this format we'll get used to and they are doing a few modifications to the site.

Since the most recent and most likely candidate Jason Armstrong has been killed I'm wondering who they'll pick for the list?

I know I sound like a broken record but the way I handle the list these days is I just sit back and relax and wait for the next addition to happen. As far as the next addition, it's a total crapshoot.

I just saw this but I Agree. Also I saw a few days ago that Macedo is going to be aired on the Hunt next season. My thoughts on that are its good to finally have him aired on the show. The Hunt is letting all the child killers go first which is why they are saving guys like Brown and Urbina till last (Ravelo and Gerena I'm not sure their cases would be good for the format of The Hunt).
Bishop was picked for season 1 because he was the most recent addition.
Said was picked for the same reason during season 2.
Fisher was picked for season 3 as Mogilevich and Godwin were still on the list when the list was filled with uncatchables at the time they were filming and picked Fisher since he was the worst since he killed children in a brutal way.
Macedo was picked because he is the most recent and killed a victim younger than 18.
My guess is that Flores would be featured in Season 5 unless a newer and heinous child killer is added or a CAC and Brown or Urbina if the show holds would be on for a season 6, 7 or 8.

Some reports suggest The Hunt doing Bishop's case was somewhat coincidental or perhaps had an indirect influence. I think producers were interested in the Bishop case even before he made the list, although the fact that the show would generate additional leads probably helped the FBI choose Bishop.
I get really frustrated that John Walsh keeps saying his most wanted fugitive is Alexis Flores and he wants to profile him before he retires from hosting crime shows for good yet it still doesn't look like there's any plans to air him in sight. As much as he's my hero and with all due to respect to him, I feel like going, John, you're not getting any younger, profile him now!
I think the decision to not air Jason Derek Brown yet might have to do with TV airing fatigue. He was on AMW like 12 times and has has had two additional TV specials plus even a book. Nothing yet has led to his capture despite the massive publicity and tips. His case is probably the second most well known) (and some would argue most well known) to the public after Yaser Said. I don't think even Robert Fisher has as many casual Crime watchers who know who he is (that is people who only watch shows like AMW/The Hunt on occasion as opposed to weekly) as Brown does.
In any case airing Macedo makes sense being that at the moment at least he's the most recent addition still not caught yet.

I forgot about Fidel Urbina. I have no comments as to the reasoning for him not being aired yet. I'm not sure it's so much he's not a child killer case as much as seeing he's actually been arrested twice he might not be as "in hiding" as other fugitives on the list and it's just the typical international tracking and/or extradition bureaucracies getting in the way.

Of all fugitives Urbina's capture will be similar to Paul Jackson if he's on the hunt or not, But Brown I'd feel they'll hold him off for a season or 2.
Now I don't know what your take is on a potential Ravelo or Gerena airing on The Hunt?

I think Gerena makes absolutely no sense to air considering he's likely in Cuba and it's a matter of relations flawing.
Ravelo I dunno. He doesn't really fit the Hunt format that we'll in my opinion and while not excusing his crimes he's not the type of criminal John Walsh most wants to go after.

I agree he does Gerena makes sense. Also he's only 58 years old and the least violent, he can still be found. However if and when they air Gerena I wonder if The Hunt will air in Cuba or if it'll be on when they air him. (Unless tourists recognize him)
