(Above photo credit: foxnews.com) Fugitive Profile as of November 17th, 2014 (Based on 2012 AMW archived profile): Sex: Female Race: Hispanic Current Age: 59-61 Height: 5'3" Weight: 130 - 154 lbs. Hair (Color, Description, Facial Hair): Other, Gray/Black Eyes: Brown Other Phys. Characteristics: Wears glasses Traits and Habits:-Works in fast food restaurants -From Colombia, became a U.S. citizen in 1991 -Uses public buses as transportation Last Seen: Columbia , CA Other Possible Locations:-Oakland , CA -Hayward , CA -Los Angeles , CA Who to call if you've seen her: Based on wanted location, our advice would be to call Crime Stoppers of Southern Alameda County at (510) 293-7197When we first learned of Greisy Valencia as AMW fans, it was one of the most shocking tales of child abuse any of us had ever seen. It all started when police found a disheveled and abused 11-year old girl wandering around the streets of Manteca, California about an hour away from the Hayward, Calif. Valencia residence. According to the Hayward police sergeant: "It almost looked like the girl had scales because of the way the overlapping looping scars were on her back, her buttocks and her legs," Valencia and her undocumented friend (who unfortunately was never charged), would allegedly routinely abuse the girl, burning her hands on the stove and also using cigarettes and curling irons to burn her, and also allegedly abused her older brother Omar (who said he didn't get it as bad but was also abused nonetheless), who as a young adult came forward to talk about his mother when AMW re-profiled Valencia last May on Lifetime. Valencia is one of the only two fugitives (Andre Neverson the other) to hold the distinction of being on John Walsh's yearly top 10 list twice, making #6 in both 2003 and 2004. She was later added but removed from John Walsh's Dirty Dozen. AMW had seemingly given up on her but then suddenly re-profiled her on Lifetime in May of 2012, not only with the interview with Omar, but also with a new re-enactment. There seemed to be a renewed effort, but now Valencia is removed from AMW.com entirely. Valencia was a Colombian immigrant and logic says she may be back in Colombia. She was also a fast-food employee so logic also dictates she could be also be working as a fast food employee in the country or somewhere else in the world. It will be hard if she went to Colombia, but the recent capture of John Caro, which if not a direct capture was at least partially aided by AMW tips, gives hope nonetheless. www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,398803,00.html UPDATE: As of July 20th, 2018, Valencia is still listed as a wanted fugitive on the "Fugitive Watch" website: www.fugitive.com/2015/03/04/greisy-valencia-wanted-by-hayward-police-for-alleged-child-abuse/Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I also wonder this with her being removed. Despite how horrific the charges she are accused of are, I wonder about the statue of limitations since it's been over 10 years. These are abuse and not molestation charges. Just a random thought I had, but I hope if she is eventually caught, there is no time limit for the sickening things she allegedly did.

Not sure what the statute is, but hopefully it's longer than 10 years, otherwise she'd be clear.
And while she may have fled the country, I still see her living in the U.S., probably doing odd jobs. For some reason, I picture her as a cleaning lady.

Considering the felony warrant has already been filed into the court system, is there really a statue of limitations for felony fugitive cases? A google search doesn't really come to an overall consensus. I think the biggest problem would be bringing her case to trial after 10 years, luckily her two children seem more than willing to testify against their mother, however I don't know about the social workers (may have retired) who led Greisy's case being first aired on AMW in 2003.

True. I was just trying to figure why AMW would start an all-out new effort to find her only to remove her from the website months later (they re-added David Kemp and did the same renewed focus thing but he's still on amw.com) But I take it as long as Omar and his sister are willing to testify against this despicable woman, the case can still be brought to court.

I think it depends on the state. Here in Iowa, the "statute of limitations" is defined as the time between an incident and when someone is charged with it. I once covered a sexual assault case where the crime itself happened in 2007 but the guy wasn't charged until 2011. However, because it was under the 10 year mark (and Iowa has an additional footnote that says if the victim was under 18, the suspect can be charged within 10 years of the victim's 18th birthday if the statute expires before then) he was still able to be charged. I'm fairly certain, in most cases, the statute of limitations only applies to unknown suspects. That's why the Wheaton Bank Robber is no longer wanted and why apparently police have stopped looking for the Appleton Attacker (or so I've heard). As for Valencia herself, I remember when AMW first profiled her they got a ton of excellent tips saying she was in Columbia, California (of all the places she could hide). She apparently had visited a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant and was asking about bus schedules. Yet for some reason, since that airing Valencia has been elusive. I doubt she fled back to Colombia (the country) but certainly anything's possible. I can see her still out there in California somewhere.

Well based on these tips perhaps she fled to Columbia, South Carolina.

Greisy was charged with Torture. In California, Torture carries a potential life sentence. Any crime that carries a death sentence or life term has no statute of limitations.

Thanks so much for clearing that up! I hope she is caught soon to face that life sentence.

Unfortunately I have no new updates. I just wanted to bump up Greisy Valencia to the top of this section since it's about time she gets caught. I do know for a fact she is still wanted so let's finally take her down.

I remember reading an article about this and I have to say I agree with one of the investigators that Valencia has likely fled the country. I just don't see how she could stay under the radar otherwise.
