"Jacksonville police are searching for Elias Lopez Diaz, 21, who is wanted in the murder of his roommate in their apartment near Interstate 95 and Emerson Street.
Samuel Perez Lopez, 21, was found stabbed and killed at the Spring Park Place Apartments. According to a Sheriff's Office release, Lopez and Diaz had an argument which led to a fight.
Diaz, who has a mole on his upper lip and is about 5-foot-7, was last seen in Jacksonville, police said.
Anyone with information about where to find the suspect can call First Coast Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (845-TIPS). Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of any First Coast Fugitive. Callers can remain anonymous. To qualify, you must call to report your tip."
Thoughts? The above was an admittedly old article about the search for Elias Diaz, who was aired on the January 5th, 2008 episode of America's Most Wanted. Please keep in mind as of the original posting date Diaz would be around 29 years old and not 21. Unfortunately the archive no longer works to go into more detail but an argument escalating to murder is obviously a murder that did not have to happen. As far as I can tell, Diaz is still at large as of this posting date (11/2/2015). Please e-mail us if you have proof otherwise.
