(Above photo credit: amw.com archives) Berrien County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for Pedro Peralta on an arrest warrant for the Saturday murder of Carlos Aurelio Rosales in Enigma. Peralta is suspected of shooting three men, including Rosales, just before noon Saturday at Giddens Trailer Park on Giddens Street. Berrien County Sheriff Jerry Brogdon said that Rosales, 32, of Enigma, was shot twice, while a 15-year-old boy was shot three times and Miguel Beltran Morales, approximately 30, of Enigma, was shot 10 times. Both the teenager and Morales survived the attack and are being treated for their injuries. Brogdon said that authorities did not know what happened until talking to the 15-year-old Monday. “He indicated that he and the other two guys were sitting out in the yard listening to music,” the sheriff said. Brogdon said the three people were listening to a radio outside when Peralta, who lived in a nearby trailer, approached. “He just walked up there and started shooting,” Brogdon said. “As far as we know it was because of the music.” When deputies responded to a call about a shooting, they only found two people lying on the ground — Rosales, who was already dead, and the boy. The other victim, despite the number of gunshot wounds he suffered, had already left the scene. He was located later. “The one that was hit 10 times got in his car and drove to another residence,” the sheriff said. “How he drove over there I do not know.” The teenager identified their attacker but authorities have not yet found him. An arrest warrant was obtained for Peralta, who allegedly goes by several aliases — Efram Cornejo, Efram Yanez and Lazaro Benitz. “We’ve contacted everyone that we can possibly know to help us and try to capture him,” Brogdon said. Peralta is described as a Hispanic man about 40 years old with black hair and brown eyes. He stands about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds. Authorities have recovered a Jeep Cherokee they believe belongs to the suspect. Anyone with information on the shooting or the location of Peralta is asked to call the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 686-2091 or contact a local law enforcement agency.Thoughts? The above was an admittedly old news article about this case, and Peralta was profiled on the May 27th, 2006 episode of America's Most Wanted. He would be around 49 years old as of this posting. As far as I know, he's still at large but please contact us if you have proof otherwise. www.tiftongazette.com/news/local_news/authorities-searching-for-murder-suspect/article_4c434cf6-b0f9-5f56-b044-91391d093664.htmlwww.inarchive.com/com/a/amw.com/7941/2011-11-21-description/626/AMW_Captures_Juan_Pena_Capture/Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Well that's odd. In any case I edited the thread title. And we now know based on the DOB's listed that he's between 50-52 and also thanks to the FBI just adding him we also know he is still at large as of this update. (5/2/2018).

This is a pretty decent addition to the site, it seems that things have been heating up the last 2 months with murder fugitives. This is a similar crime to Francisco Murillo, and ironically its the same year too. I would say it’s obvious he’s in Mexico.

I agree that the FBI page additions have gotten a lot better recently, especially since for now we've moved away from the majority of cases being non-violent drug offenders. An addition like Pedro Peralta aka. Efran Yanez is what I feel the website is supposed to do, profile cases that local law enforcement doesn't have the resources to do on a national scale if the fugitive has fled the region. Should be noted that Berrien County, Georgia where "Efran" is wanted out of actually has an online most wanted list, which doesn't actually feature him. berriencountysheriff.com/berrien-county-most-wanted-2/

I’m not sure, but I think I remember seeing this guy on the FBI murders section from the period of 2010-2011 under the name that is currently used on the FBI site, when I would search for some old cases at the end of late 2017.

If Pedro Peralta were to be recommended for the FBI Top Ten.... it could mean Caris Ayala would have some serious competition since they’re both wanted out of the same field office.
Also it should be noted that Peralta is in his 50s which means he likely aged a lot in 12 years.

I legitimately surprised that Peralta is still at large given how shockingly brazen and violent this triple shooting but his day will come soon the problem with these types of fugitives is they almost always flee south of the border while he has ties to Florida and Texas he could be laying low in north or central Mexico I personally believe he's still alive and maybe working as laborer or even may have become involved in the cartels it would definitely fit he has allegedly shown a very violent and psychotic demeanor he could be working as hitman or enforcer for the cartels btw does any know what area of m hes from
