This past year on Lifetime, America's Most Wanted aired the case of a rarity- an unsolved quadruple homicide at the Superbike Motorsports shop in Chesnee, South Carolina on November 6th, 2003. Even AMW expressed shock at the little media coverage the case has gotten.
Four workers were found shot and killed but nothing appeared to be stolen and police could not discovered any reasons why anyone would want to kill any of the victims.
There is a sketch of the only customer known to come to the store the day of November 6th. He wore a heavy black jacket on an unusually warm day and was looking at a bike seemingly out of his league, also commenting he never bought a bike before. A bill of a sale for the bike was signed by a worker, but the customer never signed it.
Linked above is a link to the full airing of the segment and a sketch of the suspect.
The reason I'm posting this as my case of the day today is I noticed on Lifetime's wall on Facebook, the mother of one of the victims was one of many to speak out against Lifetime's cancellation.
This is truly a baffling mystery that looks like a professional hit, but as said no one seemed to have any enemies. Was the customer mad for an unknown reason? Perhaps he didn't like the aggressive sales pitch? Or perhaps even scarier this was simply just a thrill kill for him? It seems he had this planned from the beginning so I don't think anything set him off while in the store. This is one of the saddest but most bizarre unknown cases I've ever seen profiled on America's Most Wanted.
Call 1-888-CRIME SC if you have any information in this case. There is a $25,000 reward.
