I agree in five years this addition should be revisited. And yes the new FBI director is handling the list very well, so I give him credit for that.

An interview with an author (Jim Garret) who has studied the Bishop case intensively. According to him, he has received credible information that Bishop is living in the Southern tip of Italy. Garret says the area that would suit him very well is along the coast between Naples and Sorrento. www.wtop.com/52/3601292/Wanted-Montgomery-Co-fugitive-likely-in-Italy-expert-saysInteresting stuff. As I said before, I think this is a unique choice since in my opinion you can't say whether this was a good or bad decision until years down the road. Hopefully Mr. Garret is on the money and this roll of the dice pays off.

LOL somebody else said the actor Julian McMahon (of Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four movies fame), and I can see the resemblance. Of course for the younger pictures. We won't know who Bishop looks like today until he hopefully is caught.

AMW's successor, CNN's "The Hunt," will devote an hour to Bishop when it premieres around July. Stay tuned.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Bruno!
I actually recognize your name in relation to Bishop because I remember it from finding the Diplo Denizen blog when I Googled this case, and how as a fellow ex-Foreign Service officer, you were urging Bishop to turn himself in.
Not just a segment but a full hour? Wow, that's pretty intense. But if they catch him it will pay off.
I do hope he will do the right thing and turn himself in though.
Anyway, thanks for joining , and I hope the airing leads to Bishop's capture!

Welcome Mr. Bruno. I wish you luck that this pays off and Bradford Bishop is finally apprehended.

It'll be because of alert folks like you all if Bishop is ever apprehended. That's why the FBI put him on their Top Ten list. And it's why AMW did such a great service for society.

Hopefully The Hunt will pick up where AMW left off.
My only regret in regards to Bishop on the FBI's Top 10 List is that he wasn't added sooner. But if he's captured, justice delayed is still justice served.

www.chron.com/technology/businessinsider/article/New-FBI-Most-Wanted-Fugitive-Has-Likely-Been-5436267.phpFound this article which says that Bishop has likely been hiding in plain sight (aka. somewhere in the US under a different identity). Unless the FBI has leads they aren't publicly mentioning, I'm unsure as to why everyone is so confident he's in the US, especially since the only three credible sightings of Bishop in the time he's been on the run have been in Europe, and there's nothing that's ever been said that indicates he's been in the US anytime while on the run. Besides, on his FBI Most Wanted Poster's site page, is his wanted poster also provided in spanish, italian and french? Whatever happened to the investigation into the two federal prisoners Bishop was apparently contacting before the murders? Does the FBI not consider the Europe sightings credible? Hopefully some of these questions can be answered on The Hunt.

This is weird since I'm quoting our own member's who postier earlier in this thread's blog (I hope you don't mind jlb especially since you will probably be reading this thread again ) but I thought this was interesting and it stood out to me when I read it: "Here's my thinking, Brad. Yes, you may have fluency in five languages, but you're a native speaker of none of them. Being anywhere abroad, your Americanness stands out no matter how much you try to disguise it. After those close calls in Basel, Stockholm and Sorrento, you returned to North America -- maybe the U.S., maybe Canada, countries much freer of national ID's and travel controls compared with European nations, particularly pre-9/11. Remember Mao Tse-tung's axiom, "The guerrilla must move amongst the people as a fish swims in the sea"? Same goes for fugitives from justice. You studied Mao. You took this dictum to heart. You may be hiding in plain sight." And when you think about it, despite how far Bishop fled, it seems he was still spotted abroad at least twice. It makes sense he felt it was safer to hide in plain sight. I realize Whitey Bulger shares not much in common besides age but he too fled back to the U.S. in the Santa Monica area after living overseas for years. It's just my personal opinion that Bishop is still overseas, likely in a small Italian village where not many people are around him. But it's also important that the FBI keeps EVERYONE vigilant and keeping an eye out for him just in case he fled back to the states. But yeah, I hope we learn more on The Hunt as well.

Might as well sticky Bishop now since there won't be any other Hunt fugitives from the list next week. (Off-topic but this means we can leave Kevin Stoeser, Shane Miller and Charles Mozdir up and stickied as well- until one is hopefully captured that is!)

The website for The Hunt has been updated with a more in-depth Bradford Bishop case description. It does mention the three credible sightings of Bishop in Europe.
