Wow, although I'm upset Arnold somewhat got away with at all at the decent age of 68, I am impressed that this mystery was solved and it gives hope for older cases like Brad Bishop, etc.. that even if they're dead we may soon find out one day anyway.

It’s interesting they said after the 1992 LA Riots he wanted to move as we all know AMW and UM were at the top of the tv ratings back then i wonder if Arnold by chance saw a profile of himself on AMW or UM even if it was just one of those thirty second to one minute segments and decided oh hell no I’m out of this country. Knowing how successful both shows were at catching fugitive’s it makes you wonder if he by chance saw his own profile on one or both shows and got so scared he hightailed it out of the country after that.

I just read the article and man it’s a wild read. One of the more interesting ends to a case I’ve seen

Is it confirmed that Arnold was featured in an episode of AMW or UM? Is there a way to watch it anywhere?

We are pretty sure Arnold was aired on AMW in the 1990s because of a master list of fugitives a superfan sent us like 7 years ago (he wrote down the names of the fugitives of every episode he saw) but unfortunately old AMW episodes especially pre 2000 are pretty much impossible to find online/limited to whatever rare segments are on YouTube

Read the article and as others have said, it's a good read on a cold case.
As to him fleeing the U.S. after 92, if you look at some of the photos of him, you can see the resemblance from his teen years and would know it was him.
IMO, he saw himself on AMW and thought the same thing which is why he fled the U.S. and took measures to conceal all aspects of his past including his prior marriage and stepdaughters, his love of jazz and getting his mole removed.
While I wish he had been found alive and gone back to prison to serve his sentence, at least we have answers on what happened here at last.

Well, He didn't, Instead he went on the run and died on the run.
