David Bonness is what I would call the first cold case fugitive to make Live PD: Wanted. I feel that he has a reasonable shot at becoming a direct capture so I appreciate his selection to be aired.

Found out through PACER that in February 2014 there was a request for a "Trap and Trace pen register device" after it was discovered Bonness was still in frequent phone contact with his mother despite being on the run. This means he likely may still be in contact with family to this day. ecf.sdd.uscourts.gov/doc1/16511925735

If Bonness is still in contact with family, I think he would be using burner phones and/or burner numbers or using prepaid phones with minutes.

Still being in contact with his mummy with a Wyoming area code would suggest not going too far imo

Still being in contact with his mummy with a Wyoming area code would suggest not going too far imo Wyoming is actually ideal for him to hide in as there really isn’t much in terms of population or things to do.

Yeah the trap and trace number was a 307 area code which is Wyoming.

Yeah the trap and trace number was a 307 area code which is Wyoming. The middle 3 numbers (NXX) after the area code in a phone number usually give the general (not exact) location (City/Town) of where the number is based or given.

Also I should have clarified it was Bonness's mother they put in a trap and trace for (I am only putting all this public since it is publicly available in the document for all to see), and the number is a Cheyenne Wyoming number. They also reference her Facebook page. I viewed Bonness's mom's Facebook page, and it's all a bunch of religious stuff while she allegedly does nothing about her son who is an alleged child molester. Pretty amazing hypocrisy.

Last night's "Hot on the Trail" special on ID revealed Bonness will be one of the main cases for Season 4 of In Pursuit.

I hope after Bonness’ airing on In Pursuit this season that he finally goes down once and for all, 6 years on the Marshals 15 Most Wanted is long enough.

As we alluded to, Bonness was indeed profile and on tonight's show (Season 4- episode 2- 9/7/2022). Here are some clues, may be repeat clues but just wanted to summarize what the show highlighted, sort of copying and pasting from an article summary, except I corrected the aliases as I believe the last name he may be using is "Nuse" and not Noose: "US Marshals took over the case. They discovered he lived with his mom and stepfather in Fort Laramie, Wyoming and working in a Walmart in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. There was a warrant for his arrest, but he escaped when he saw the cops coming. He has been on the run ever since, going to western New Yoek and Dix, Nebraska. He has always been able to evade the authorities as they closed in on him. David is considered to be incredibly dangerous. He is 5 foot nine and weighs about 180 pounds, with green eyes and graying brown hair. He could be working as a mechanic or doing other car work. There is a possibility he is in Canada and going under the aliases of David Nuse, David Alan Nuse, Alan Noose and Ernest Nuse Jr." www.tvgrapevine.com/2022/09/in-pursuit-with-john-walsh-recap-for-stolen-innocence/

Most sightings are placing him there, and it is an extremely rural area, and so I think if they turn up the pressure with a campaign blitz in that area, more tips will float to the surface. Again, Dix NE, Scottsbluff, NE, and Fort Laramie, WY aren’t too far from one another. There is the Western NY sighting, but I think he’s still primarily in that same area.

I do believe that if Bonness is still in the U.S. Prairie states region, that he is likely working as an independent mechanic, everyone drives, and in this part of the country, the vehicles chosen by people in this region for the most part are very simple to fix or very reliable, that includes Bonness.
As a mechanic, he may want to drive something that’s easy to fix, and mechanics often times get these grandpa looking cars from Ford or Buick, or a gas saver from Honda or Toyota, because of their simplicity and reliability, which could be why he has been uncatchable up to this point and been able to blend in, specifically if he’s in that part of the country.

Interestingly, Bonness is listed on Canada's BOLO program website as one of their most wanted fugitives. www.boloprogram.org/
