The Zodiac Killer is trending on Twitter today, and there has been speculation by users that Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who has been in the news due to him traveling to Cancun while millions of his constituents are without heat, electricity and no water, is the killer. Cruz was born in 1970, so he was not even born when the killings started. While I normally don't discuss politics in non off-topic postings, no offense but I assume you must be on the younger side to not get the sarcasm. The users are only joking. It's been a long running internet meme and gag that got further increased when Trump ran against Cruz for the 2016 GOP Presidential nomination and ridiculously claimed Cruz's father was JFK's real killer. No one actually believes this about Cruz, it's just an inside joke lol. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz%E2%80%93Zodiac_Killer_meme

Honestly I read this in the morning but didn't get around to posting it. It's interesting, but I'm taking it with a grain of salt until the FBI or police confirm it.

I am quite skeptical about this at the moment as it seems most of the evidence is circumstantial but it would be a big deal if true one thing that is irritating me rite now though is the amount of news sites and people unanimously reporting his identification when he has by no means been officially identified

What I give weight: this is a group of retired investigators who strongly believe the evidence points to Poste.
Why I am somewhat skeptical: The FBI’s San Francisco Field Office announced today that the case is still open.
The new evidence I have seen against Poste today was largely circumstantial, but I’m guessing there is some other evidence pointing to him that has not been revealed yet.
We do know that DNA evidence exists in the Vallejo killing and the killing of Cheri Jo Bates. If they can get a DNA sample of Poste (which may prove difficult: I doubt his family would be willing to allow an exhumation of his body, and there may not be enough for a court to order it), they could put an end to this mystery once and for all.
