Anyone think Perez is Top Ten material? It’s just horrifying how this murder was all planned out. Not only that, any press would help.

He could be if investigators come to that conclusion in the next couple weeks that his addition would also aid in his capture..... however one thing that is going against his addition is that he’s been on the FBI featured fugitives page since the 2000s. Usually fugitives who have been on the site for 2-6 years max eventually get added to the FBI Top Ten as we’ve seen with Edward Harper, Bhadreshkumar Patel, Jesus Munguia, & Yaser Said.

Last night's episode was enough justification for me for Perez to be added. One of the criteria is the threat the fugitive poses to the public.
Perez methodically planned the alleged murder of Gordon Machek.
I also hate to give a fugitive credit but he was also extremely intelligent for a 19-year-old which makes it even scarier now that he is older. The FBI likes to add fugitives of above average or high intelligence to their list such as Jason Brown, Robert Fisher etc..

I also think it’s odd that Eddie Perez wasn’t bumped up on the murders section prior to the episode airing, which is a possible indication they’ll likely added him to the FBI Top Ten after the fact Instead.

I think he's a good candidate for the FBI's Top Ten List because I think he is next Andrew Cunghan.

Are we sure these photos were not available previously? Otherwise, why did they wait until AFTER the In Pursuit airing to release them? This is one of my few critiques on an otherwise excellent season is I feel they didn't show enough photos of fugitives with possible different looks, different age-progressions etc... but this might be the area investigator's fault if they waited until after the show.
Also, to reply to danwind, I do see some similarities between Perez and Andrew Cunanan based on their alleged crimes. Although Cunanan knew his first victim and I think one victim was a random person in New Jersey just to steal a car.

Also, to reply to danwind, I do see some similarities between Perez and Andrew Cunanan based on their alleged crimes. Although Cunanan knew his first victim and I think one victim was a random person in New Jersey just to steal a car. This article was dated April 6, 2019, which was after his airing, I would like to think investigators had these made prior to his airing on In Pursuit, but this article was the first I’ve seen of his age progressed images. I just checked the web archives of the FBI Murders section and a slight correction here.... Eddie Perez was added to the FBI Featured Fugitives site sometime in Mid 2011, and not the 2000s as I’ve stated earlier. I’m pretty much 70/30 for Eddie Perez making and not making the list. Why he would make the list: • He wasn’t bumped up on the murders/violent crimes section the week prior to his airing on In Pursuit and it’s like a tradition as it has happened with Lamont Stephenson, Thayne Smika, and Arianna Fitts during this season of In Pursuit. • Adding him after his airing on a crime show which has an international reach could end up leading to Eddie Perez quickly. • Eddie Perez is still very young despite having been on the run for 18 years. • His crime was very violent yet he was very knowledgeable about becoming a fugitive at the age of 19 (Sort of reminds me of Glen Godwin, or Jason Derek Brown) There are fugitives that have been added to the site recently that don’t seem to stand out at the moment or many of the cases added lately are from the Los Angeles Field Office which currently has Greg Alyn Carlson on the list as Deceased. Why I don’t think he would be added: • The FBI may end up adding another fugitive like Octaviano Juarez Corro, Eugene Palmer, a Crimes Against Children Fugitive or someone else and will end up being the focus on the next season of In Pursuit. • the list has 2 open slots which were occupied by Fugitives for several years before 2018 by individuals on the run since 2008 and 1976 respectively and since both have come off the list, they were replaced by fugitives on the run no longer than 5 years, thus wanting to put an emphasis on adding recent cases. • The FBI is saving the 2 slots for other fugitives that aren’t known nationally or internationally known and whose addition to the list would help locate them. (Jean Leonard Faure falls in this category) Anyways I found Eddie in a missing persons directory. www.missingin.org/reg9394/edgardo_luis_perez.htm

As of today, March 15, 2023, the Farmington Hills Police Department has listed seven cold cases on their website. This includes the Edgardo Perez manhunt and six unsolved cases. Hopefully this will help in getting these cases resolved. www.fhgov.com/coldcases

After 20 plus years anything is possible. It’s a scary case because of how long he’s been on the run with his M.O.
