I feel like he'd probably have to be on the site to have more potential to be considered, then again I don't think Fidel Urbina was on the site when he was added. (He had a press release, but wasn't on the main overall general most wanted listing before his addition)

I think Barrera is a candidate for the Ten Most Wanted List at this point. He is wanted for two very violent bank robberies (he was on the FBI's site at one point). Thing is, if he's wanted for questioning for a murder, the fact that he is still wanted on federal charges is still enough to put him on the list. When Andrew Cunanan was on the list, he was only charged with one murder, and was wanted for questioning in the other four. Any news on this case? |

Much like asking questions only detectives would know the answer to, in fugitive threads where you're wondering if there's news updates, I would have had them already. Fugitive cases aren't detective cases where information is withholds and all of us here are pretty good at updating when there's new articles on a fugitive. Trust me if there is any leads in fugitive cases, me or someone else will be the first to post them.  |

I searched Pacer and the armed robbery and carjacking charges are stll in federal warrant status as of this update (September 28th, 2021).

Barrera's name was not mentioned in tonight's episode of In Pursuit's segment about the Boca Raton mall killings. I don't know if this means he's no longer considered a suspect or they purposely didn't want to mention him for whatever reason, but since he was mentioned in the AMW airings, figured it was something that should be mentioned.
