I wanted to post a project that I have been working on for approximately two years. Through Dallas County's court records database, I have complied an "incomplete" list of fugitives with warrants in homicide cases where photos are needed. I felt that due to the large volume of fugitives, that an individual thread was needed to list them. This is not a complete list but the ones that I could find where I felt the fugitive was still a reasonable threat to society. The purpose is to publicize these cases since it is doubtful they will ever get media publicity going forward (given the state of publicizing underreported fugitive homicide cases). On the off chance that a reader has a photo of one of these fugitives (most likely in the domestic violence cases), please feel free to submit that to us through our website contact form if you wish. This is from the wider perspective of publicizing cold case homicides in the United States. My thoughts are with the families of these victims, and I hope that there can be justice and answers in some of these cases. Please note that all of these cases are in "open" status in Dallas County's court records database. The indictment document for the cases mentions that at the time, the location of the fugitive was either "unknown" or "at large". This is except for bail violation fugitives. Additionally, there are no further documents or news articles that cast doubt on whether any of these fugitives are still wanted. That is how I have determined that these fugitives are still wanted. Based on the age of some of these cases and the fact that witnesses may not be available anymore, I understand that plea deals on lesser charges may have to be made in certain cases. The motive was an argument over a traffic jam. Case Number: F0101085 Name: Guadalupe P Cervantes Date: December 25, 1991 DOB: 09/24/1961 Location: Dallas Case: Wanted for allegedly driving while intoxicated and crashing his vehicle onto a guardrail. His passenger, 34-year old Ephriam Horton was killed as a result of the impact. Case Number: F9200323 Name: Juan Martinez Chavarria Date: September 3, 1990 DOB: 02/02/1966 Location: Irving Case: Wanted for allegedly shooting Marcelo Garduno Garcia to death with a rifle. Case: Wanted for allegedly shooting 20-year Dan Cornel Baranga to death and shooting and wounding Dan’s passenger. It is believed that the homicide occurred while the suspects were attempting to steal the rims from Dan’s vehicle. Hector and three co-defendants were arrested and charged with capital murder. Hector fled after violating his bail agreement in 1997 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
