I chalk it up to lack of promotion and the current tv landscape. They should've heavily promoted this comeback online even go so far as to sponsor some notable true crime Youtubers. Maybe this is the young millennial in me talking but the internet is killing the tv star. TV for a lot of people these days are just for sports or big events. Plus keep in mind that it's been over a decade since Walsh last took the helm on AMW. Most who would watch AMW for Walsh have tuned out completely or even assumed Walsh retired or was dead. If I hadn't kept my interest in AMW since joining the forums, I would've been out of the loop too.
Though it is an argument to keep AMW while not worrying about ratings. I say bring it back to Saturday nights and treat it as FOX's answer to 48 Hours (which one would think that was the point all along). Even treating it similar to the educational shows they broadcast when the major networks stopped doing the Saturday morning kids blocks (AMW is doing a better public service than those shows anyway).

Saturdays and to a lesser extent Fridays just arent an option anymore due to On Patrol Live and sports programming imo. Also I read Mondays and sort of an of night now where networks put their reality or game shows and later in the week is when they try with their budget scripted stuff. I guess it’s my fault for bringing it up but I just wanted to mention ratings in context and was not trying to panic anyone but just trying to explain ratings might not be what they seem anymore and there is additional criteria as well. AMW doesn’t need to be the highest rated show of all time. It just needs to do ok relative to cost and so far it seems that is happening. Yes I’d like it to do even better of course but it could always be worse. I am not going to panic and only wanted to mention the ratings once and maybe at the end of the new season

We will have no idea until they actually show the case.

And yeah to further expand next week’s preview said they would profile the murder of a high school football coach but I can’t find any case on the forum that matches that description aside from captured fugitives so it might be a new case.

Should also mention that it is possible next week's preview fugitive is on our site after all, it could be one of those cases where we all knew was the victim's name, but it could be a new case as well.

So on top of them ignoring me when I try to correct them on the capture counter and ignoring me in general they are also stealing our “exclusive fugitive” lingo. If it weren’t for John and Cal being back I’d be apoplectic right now lol (I’m only joking for the record)

Besides ratings I would also like us to not panic if it takes a while for a capture as well as many of these fugitives may be in Mexico where usually those captures can take weeks if not months even if it’s discovered where a suspect is as extradition process pinpointing exact locations etc… need to be done as well. The cases where missing children are involved you’d hope there’d be more urgency but the average fugitive in Mexico usually isn’t caught right away even if there is a good tip but they are eventually.

Will do btw I'm hyped that it's back but I have no way to see it I guess it is what it is but let hope it bags many fugitives

It’s on regular free tv do you have an antenna? I don’t want to pry too much and you can pm me if you want to explain further but part of the advantage I always thought AMW had over In Pursuit is that it’s more accessible. (Once again no offense to either show but my view is In Pursuit is a better show for quality but AMW is a better show for likelihood of captures).

I'm finally able to watch the episode. It's unfortunate that it is usually not available in Europe.
