No looks like it is 8 based on articles thankful I noticed kind of annoyed they all apparently switched time slots but AMW probably works better at 8 pm tbh (it leads in rather than having a weak lead in)

Luis Herrera-Ramirez and Andrea Ramirez are the first case tonight with some new fugitives not on our forum that I’ll have to add later in the week coming up later.
I actually like for the first time ever on a new iteration of John Walsh show that the first/debut case isn’t a murder case. Two terrible people wanted for crimes against children and abducting children as well are John and Cal type of case to a T. Low key excellent choice to start their new era and hopefully it leads to recoveries and arrests.

Put of all of them I think the last guy will be the easiest to catch

A big improvement from 2021! Main cases tonight besides Luis and Andrea Ramirez were Arnoldo Jimenez and Tyler Wilkinson who was wanted for selling a 17-year-old pills that turned out to be fentanyl over Snapchat.
John Walsh calling fugitives scumbags again! No cheesy 3D graphics or asking if you’ve seen a fugitive five years ago but instead stressing the importance you can remain anonymous!
There were a few caught on camera segments which I guess fits with the times but at least they were relatively violent crimes (and a fugitive who breaks into homes of women he was stalking which technically could lead to violence so even that I was ok with).
And welcome to AMW Cal!
I don’t want to celebrate the terrible reason we have AMW but I am glad it is back and with the Walshes.

I was a little disappointed where are the full re-enactments at? I know they show one but maybe I’m just thinking more of the 90s type of re-enactments. Obviously it’s the first episode so I’m sure it will get better over time but i figured there would be a bit more re-enactments for each case withJohn Walsh narrating it. Also good for them for bringing Elizabeth Smart in. I think if they ever do a long term missing children’s case they should bring in Jaycee Dugard for her opinion on it. Other than that the show was decent I’ll continue to watch to see if it improves.

I think John Walsh is getting older now as far as narrating segments but they could have let Cal do them. The show has to modernize a little and I didn’t think the reenactments were much different from The Hunt or In Pursuit which isn’t a bad thing and not meant as a criticism.

This is the rare times where I wish I didn't cord cut and just have to wait till tomorrow to watch on Hulu. It sounds like they starting well.
As to answer billsfans568. I'm going to come out and say it that any new AMW can do without reenactments. They might have been important in 1988. But if they distract from the main point of AMW, I'm not going to mourn them.

Apologize if I spoiled anything. I technically cut the cord but have YouTube tv which is only slightly less expensive than cable. I think you will like it though.

In fairness I think the FBI has reached out to him asking him to come back quite often and not just this year. And Marshals too probably. He’s the best of the best and training his son to be the best as well.

I watched the official trailer on the Youtube channel for FOX. They seem to be operating on what I suggested modern AMW should do. Can't stress it enough that it shouldn't be your dad's AMW. Calling itself the original true crime show, use of the internet, even liked Cal's lighthearted callouts to "armchair detectives".

I agree, stick to the facts of the case, the reenactments I can do without.

Watched it and IMO, was far better then the Vargas attempt, with sticking to the facts of the case and telling it like it is when it comes to these perps. Here's hoping we have a capture before the end of the night!

It's great that you guys like the new season. Unfortunately, I can't watch the episode. I probably have to find it on some sketchy streaming service online in a few days. That's also how I can view In Pursuit episodes.

Here's hoping we have a capture before the end of the night! I don’t know why I keep defending her considering how A) She bragged about capturing her first fugitive- a carjacker only on the run for a month where the victim wasn’t seriously injured faster than John Walsh caught his first fugitive who was a serial rapist and murderer on the FBI top ten list for many years and B) Said she said yes right away when asked to host- even John Walsh turned the show down multiple times in the 80s and she didn’t seem to appreciate the awesome responsibility. A true successor would have said “I said yes but with nervous trepidation” but I should note Vargas as a tv news journalist that wanted to come across as professional isn’t the kind of person you’d expect to call fugitives scumbags and stuff. John and Cal as advocates and not journalists have a little more leeway. With that being said, yeah, not that stuff can’t be improved (I think they showed the wrong kidnapper for Elizabeth Smart and put the photo of the guy they originally thought it was and not Brian Mitchell- editing and fact checking still need to be more on the up and up as that was kind of unforgivable) but overall it felt like AMW again. The right touch of nostalgia and modern true crime show production.
