With some Midwestern towns, their only link to the outside world is the post office as odd as that sounds. It can often be the center of the community. I can see how he may be able to hide very easily in one of those towns.

If I was a betting man he must've have been spotted in Missouri and made trying to go back underground on the east coast I recall the article I posted saying he was spotted in Alabama and Georgia and Florida as for where he maybe he has been they subject of numerous articles in less than a week Tampa bay isn't just urban sprawl it has very remote areas and he could be doing jobs and getting paid in cash no questions asked my best guess is he could be in the area of Dade City or Brooksville my uncle lives in Pinellas and Brooksville is only about 50 miles from tampa

Field’ co-defendant John Sartori has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. A little light if you ask me but unfortunately guilty pleas often result in lesser than deserved sentences.

One thing I learned in covering the court system for eight years is that there are usually many, undisclosed reasons why plea agreements are sought. I remember I once wrote about a child sex abuse suspect who pleaded guilty to committing lascivious acts, which got him about a decade in prison (sex abuse would have gotten him 20-30 years). Turned out the victim's family (and the victim) were worried if it went to trial, extremely sensitive personal information would come out and do more harm to the victim, who was still in recovery, than good. People get upset about them, but honestly, they're a lot more complicated than people realize. Though I do wish the punishments were harsher.
