HARRISBURG, PA — The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, is asking the public’s help in their attempt to locate 54-year-old Michael Bascom, who is wanted on charges related to aggravated assault on law enforcement, statutory sexual assault, and similar offenses.
Authorities state that on June 3, 2022, Bascom traveled from Slatington Borough, Lehigh County, to East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, for an arranged sexual encounter with a 13-year-old female. When law enforcement officers in Lancaster County attempted to take Bascom into custody, he struck one of the officers’ vehicles with his own vehicle; a blue 2012 Mazda 3 displaying Pennsylvania registration HHS0067 and fled the scene. Bascom is believed to currently be operating the same vehicle, which sustained front-end damage.
On June 9, 2022, at 9:27 AM, Bascom’s location was believed to be near Frederick, Maryland, headed northwest towards Hagerstown, Maryland.
Bascom is charged with the following offenses:
Criminal Attempt – Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older
Criminal Solicitation – Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older
Unlawful Contact With Minor – Sexual Offenses
Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above
Criminal Use Of Communication Facility
Aggravated Assault – Attempts to Cause or Causes Bi to Designated Individuals
Recklessly Endangering Another Person
Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer
Accident Involving Damage Attended Vehicle/Prop
Criminal Attempt – Patronizing Victim of Human Trafficking
Criminal Solicitation – Patronizing Victim of Human Trafficking

Thoughts? As of this posting date (June 14th, 2022), a search of Pennsylvania's online criminal court records show still no arrest date and still no court movement since an official criminal complaint against Bascom was filed back on June 6th, 2022.
