I looked at the UFAP warrant case in PACER and it mentioned Omar was believed to have fled to a nearby US state. I'm not going to mention exactly which one since the federal warrant was issued only a few months ago. If the information is true, then hopefully Omar will be in custody soon.

Actually not surprised they removed Palmer due to his age and understand it, just disappointed for Tammy Palmer's family we may never find out if he was alive or not.
As for the addition, excellent and in complete agreement and the type of case I've been clamoring for them to add!
Cardenas could have killed many other people when he allegedly shot a man at a large outdoor shopping center in broad daylight, he is a threat to the general public but the general public can also recognize and help catch him as well.

I’m familiar with Sylmar where the murder occurred, Cardenas is lucky he didn’t kill other people, and this shooting occurred in a public place, which I applaud the FBI for adding him.
While Eugene Palmer was a good addition, realistically it was around the time they added him, that the FBI list began to stagnate and due to his advanced age I can understand why the FBI came to that decision, so hopefully things turn around now with an addition, a capture, a removal and an addition within the same month.
I don’t think Cardenas left the United States or even the state of California, I believe he’s somewhere in Los Angeles, Kern Counties or the Inland Empire.

You know, I considered adding Cardenas to my list of possible contenders, but did not do so.
They made mention they think he “may have information on other violent crimes.” Translation: I think this means he’s a person of interest/prime suspect in other killings.
This seems to be following a trend where the FBI is adding people to the list for homicides committed in public in front of a large amount of people. Besides this case, there was:
Marlon Jones: who caused a gun battle in a restaurant which killed four people;
Santiago Villalba Mederos: In one homicide, he fired into a group of concerned citizens killing a man;
Antwon Mims: Shot and killed two men in front of 100 people in Michigan;
Octaviano Juarez-Corro: Killed two and seriously wounded three others during a custody dispute at a picnic in a park in Milwaukee.
I do think this is a great add, and I do hope that the FBI continues profiling fugitives accused of very similar crimes.

Literally everyone is on here for a long time if not caught lol , but if you mean not caught within the year then it is unfortunately a possibility. I dont think he's that unrecognizable otherwise though.

Keep in mind, Cardenas committed this crime 3 years ago this month, he weighed 240-300 pounds which means he is or was notably overweight, and not to joke or anything, but like Eric Toth who was tall in stature, this could have also been another reason Cardenas was added (not to offend anyone whose overweight). But with the passage of time, anything could’ve happen within the last 3 years, he could have lost weight in order to avoid capture.
His federal warrant is less than a year old, a fairly recent warrant, hence why the FBI removed Palmer to make room for him as usually recent crimes, indictments, and warrants tend to replace removed-without-capture fugitives.
If Cardenas was in Los Angeles or Los Angeles County still, I think he would’ve been caught by now if he looks the same he does at the time of his crime, if he lost weight than I could still see him brazenly hiding in the Greater Los Angeles area or the general Southern California region. I do want to say he’s in Mexico given how much time as gone by, but being born in California, most likely not knowing Mexico, Southern California, especially the Greater Los Angeles area is the most likely location and massive in terms of population which makes hiding in plain sight, blending in with the population a cake walk.

I agree. It’s possible he could have lost or even gained weight. He could have lost weight by a lack of food on the run. However, he may have gained weight by eating a very poor diet while on the run (I.e., we know that William Plemons was continuing to eat at fast food restaurants when sighted in Florida).

I don’t want to say Cardenas is going to be an easy capture, but there is that possibility that he could be very difficult to locate, because I remember back in 2017, I said that if Alejandro Castillo was added to the top ten list, he would end up getting captured within months and here we are 5 years later.
All I’m going to say is the best case scenario if he’s in Mexico is that if he’s in Tijuana (known by Southern Californians by it’s slang; T.J.) , Rosarito or Ensenada, where many Californians could go on weekend, and results in his capture.
