(Above photo credits: newsweek.com via Moab (Utah) Police Department) This thread is to discuss In Pursuit with John Walsh fugitive Brian Laundrie, who is a person of interest in the high-profile national news murder case of 22-year-old Gabby Petito, who sadly was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming after being reported missing by her parents in New York. In Pursuit aired Laundrie as a special Wanted for Questioning alert on the September 22nd, 2021 episode of the show (Season 3- episode 6). According to John Walsh, tips have placed Laundrie in Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Appalachian Trail. It should be noted that Laundrie is not officially charged with homicide in Gabby Petito's case, however he does face other felonies in regards to his actions after her disappearance, including fraudulent use of a credit card, and he remains a person of interest in Ms. Petito's case. I previously had this thread in the Missing on TV (when Gabby was still not found) and later unsolved on TV sections because of Laundrie not being officially charged with homicide yet, however this manhunt has gone on a bit longer than some may have expected, and he is wanted for felonies even if not officially murder, so I figured those were decent enough excuses to finally make a Fugitive on TV thread instead. In Pursuit has encouraged tipsters with information on Laundrie's whereabouts to at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.comOur previous thread on Gabby's case: amwfans.com/thread/11944/unknown-gabby-petito-killer-wyoming Admin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

According to the New York post he might have been seen in my home state talking to a Florida engineer trying to get directions to California not in Florida but in the applachin mountains of North Carolina that is where I live

The New York Post is a step away from a tabloid if not a tabloid itself and they keep interviewing Dog the Bounty Hunter, who as we discussed in the previous thread is a publicity whore. So I'm not really taking them that seriously.
That being said, Laundrie could very well be on the Appalachian Trail, and it should be noted that John Walsh actually mentioned tips placing him there before the supposed sighting that made national news.

There seems to be increased activity at that Florida Nature Reserve where Brian's parents said he went off to- and Brian's father has agreed to join the search. I know this sounds like I'm trying to have it both ways- and what's most important is justice for Gabby- finding Brian dead or alive- not being right- but while I have felt Brian has been alive during this time- it also wouldn't surprise me if he killed himself- just I'm sorry to be critical but we've seen on this forum that law enforcement has a pretty bad track record where they find dead fugitives who in my opinion should have been found a long time ago. But in their defense, it is because they justly overly focus on the danger if the fugitive is still alive. Maybe Brian's father will help them find his son's body sooner rather than later if he did harm himself- although I will admit in my opinion Brian's father looking for him like he didn't allegedly help his head start does give off an O.J. searching for the real killer vibe. www.newsday.com/long-island/suffolk/gabby-petito-brian-laundrie-gabrielle-missing-1.50382575 (unfortunately article may not be available to view for all)

The coroner has found that Gabby was strangled to death. I don't think there is any pleasant way to be murdered but it is unfortunately a horrible way to die. Not just the brutality, but being that I (and mostly everyone on the planet) believes Brian Laundrie is the person who killed her, the pure sadness and feeling of betrayal of seeing the person who supposedly loved you and was going to marry you doing it. www.cnn.com/2021/10/12/us/gabby-petito-brian-laundrie-investigation-update-tuesday/index.html

Also I see John Walsh getting criticized because he asked the coroner if he can say Brian Laundrie killed Gabby. Which is a question someone who is a coroner and not detective obviously can't answer.
My feeling is JW knew exactly what he was doing- he knew the coroner couldn't answer- he just wanted to once again remind the public that Brian Laundrie (in his/most of our opinion) killed Gabby. Basically continue calling out/keep the heat on Laundrie.
As much as I love John, we've seen him occasionally have brain farts (like he keeps accidentally thinking John List was on the top ten list when he wasn't) which isn't meant as a criticism since we've all had brain farts including myself- but I don't think this is one of those times.

It seems the article of clothing with a sh** stain in the dirty Laundrie has been thrown out…. Jkjk If it is Brian Laundrie, I wouldn’t be surprised because he’s a coward, he hid from facing the music for murdering his own girlfriend, he felt so inclined to slap her and punch her, and god knows what else. Gabby Petito deserved a lot better than what she had with Brian “sh** stain” Laundrie.

Yeah I said in our previous thread that I understood people wanted to help but literally every young white bald guy with a beard was being reported to the FBI.
I don't see how this isn't him- this is real life and not a tv show or movie with far-fetched plots of grave robbing and placing body doubles- but we have to wait for it to be official.

We also have to wait for cause of death if this is Laundrie. While it likely is a suicide, he could have died via some sort of accident as well- since I feel the claims of him being this great survivalist were greatly exaggerated.

I'm leaning towards suicide but like you, won't be shocked if it was an accidental death either. Camping for a weekend or doing hikes doesn't mean you have what it takes to survive in the wild for any length of time.

Anyone find it weird that just as Brian Laundrie’s parents wanted to join the search, human remains and Brian Laundrie’s belongings are found?
