(Above photo credit: northerncaliforniamostwanted.org, AMW archives) Fugitive Profile as of November 19th, 2014 (Based on Northern California Most Wanted website, AMW archives) Race: Hispanic Gender: Male Height: 5'10" Weight: 160-170 lbs Hair: Gray/Black Eyes: Brown Date of Birth: 6/1/1942 TIPS: If you have any information on the whereabouts of Gregory Marc Riviera, you can submit an anonymous web tip to the Northern California Most Wanted website at the following link: northerncaliforniamostwanted.org/default.aspx?menuitemid=718&suspect=Gregory-Marc%20Riviera/AKA%20Abraham%20%22Abra%22%20%22Abe%22%20Castillo/AKA%20Greg%20Riviera&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1Gregory Marc Riviera has been wanted for over 20 years for the murder of his ex-girlfriend. He has been aired on the April 3rd, 1999 episode of AMW at the very least. The following is a brief synopsis from the old archived website: "Riviera is wanted for the 1992 murder of his ex-girlfriend, Juliette Rivera. On July 6, 1992, deputies say, Riviera convinced Juliette to meet him and go to a Pescadero, CA bar for a drink. Juliette's body was discovered two weeks later in an irrigation pond several miles from the bar. Deputies say Riviera is a chronic liar that always tells tales to women to try and impress them. Juliette told friends that Riviera made her nervous and that was the reason she stopped seeing him. Deputies believe that a jealous Riviera murdered Juliette because she was dating other men." The chronic liar description might negate some of these facts, but here are some additional clues according to his Northern California Most Wanted page: Gregory Marc Riviera has a U.S. Army background; he has auto mechanic experience; he loves to talk about his times in Hawaii and has been described as a person who loves the Bay Area and likes to attend social events and local bars. Gregory Marc Riviera may have family members residing in the East and South Bay. Thoughts? Unfortunately that pictures is 20 years old but it's all anyone has right now. Usually a fugitive on the run for this long flees to Mexico but Riviera is said to love the Bay Area and has family. And it's always harder to catch a fugitive when family's hiding them. Because of this, I wouldn't be shocked it all if even after 22 years he winds up hiding in plain sight. But wherever he is, justice has been delayed for way too long. web.archive.org/web/19991012070500/http://amw.com/northerncaliforniamostwanted.org/(X(1)S(fcvimskue3gax2pxu4kgx25p))/default.aspx?act=incidentmapgallerytop10detail.aspx&category=LawEnforcementFugitives&IMID=83&menugroup=Admin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Gregory Marc Riviera was first aired in 1993 (according to the old site's 2003 episode listing) and I believe he was also on Final Justice as well.
What drives me insane about this case is that when investigators had enough evidence to arrest Riviera, they missed him by one day! Therefore I doubt he's still in the Bay Area, but probably somewhere in Latin America.

According to AMW's profile of Rivera, he was very calm in the days leading up to the warrant being issued for his arrest. He even told the detective to just wait in front of his house because he wasn't going anywhere. Rivera's case is so mysterious, mostly because he himself was such a habitual liar. I don't think anybody really knows the exact truth about him.

Gregory Marc Riviera is still listed as at large on Northern California Most Wanted's website as of this posting date. (12/17/2017). Just wanted to also mention I found a Google newsgroup which listed the additional perks from the AMW website of one of his archived profiles. Some of this may be outdated or we've already discussed, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to list potential clues: Additional Quirks: 1. May dye his hair black 2. Does not use credit cards 3. May have mustache or beard 4. Pathological liar that is a constant storyteller 5. Can look ten years younger because he's very fit 6. Evasive about his past 7. Jogs 8. Likes to cook 9. Avid tennis player 10. Described as a great chef 11. Has claimed to be Hawaiian 12. Frequents sports bars 13. Dresses fashionably 14. Drives borrowed cars 15. Takes taxis or rides bikes 16. Likes to have facials 17. Described as a womanizer 18. Flashes money and usually carries a couple hundred dollars in cash groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/alt.crime/PevqHuhrFXk/mqctA-TD2iUJ

There's no opinion to be had. It's confirmed he's either deceased or captured and its just a matter of finding out which of the two from an official source or news article.

I would say since it says captured I would guess that he's been arrested but I haven't been able to find any articles saying such.

Someone commented on a Fugitive Watch post Riviera was found dead in Merced County as per reports. I cannot find anything despite the claim of reports.
Before this thread gets out of hand out of what should be positive news that Juliette Rivera's family finally have an answer one way or the other as to what happened to Gregory let's just please wait for anything official.
Respectfully, unless someone has something they found, there's not much anyone can add (unless a family member of Juliette's is here) at the moment otherwise, and to be fair that includes me lol.

I'm hoping he was found alive solely for the fact that even though he got away with it for nearly three decades, in the end he would be spending some time behind bars knowing he didn't get away with it. Given his age at the time of the crime though... But you're right, we're not going to know for sure unless someone from the family/LEO weighs in.
